The whole PROGRESSION team was working very hard in the last couple of weeks and months to adjust the developed content and its technical implementation. In addition to the most important functions and teaching content, the scenarios should also look engaging, which is why we also have to consider many details such as the precise definition of colour use. At the beginning of February, we had our second face-to-face meeting in Porto. We spent two intensive days with fruitful discussions, hosted by Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto and Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto. As the study phase is due to begin in the next months, the primary objective of the meeting was to finalize the impact study protocol, refine the App development, and implement the developed training scenarios. What is PROGRESSION Project ??? This visit was a key step in finalizing preparations for the impact study phase, refining the APP development, and implementing the developed scenarios—ensuring everything is set for the next phase. On my way to the two day PROGRESSION Project meeting in Porto. Very much looking forward to meeting the whole project team from the five participating institutions and engaging in productive midterm conversations. We are about to start the user studies this spring, so a very crucial phase in the project.

VR is a field od seamingly endless possibilities – during the recent visit of our team to Utrecht University, as part of an LMU conducted study on measuring presence in XR, we immersed ourselves in various learning and study environments. Most relevant, the integration of XR in the medical field offers a great amount of potential, which we plan to use in our PROGRESSION project. Learning from each other being a hallmark of academia, we are happy to be part of a great research network in the field. At the beginning of November, the beta version of the Progression’s application was completed and tested internally by the project partners. The partners' feedback on this version is currently being analysed, and changes will be made if deemed pertinent. The partners will then re-test the application and provide further feedback.
