Despite an 11% drop in overdose deaths, as reported by the CDC, seniors and rural communities continue to face critical barriers in accessing care. Rural areas need higher reimbursement rates to make treatment viable, while the burdensome prior authorization process is delaying access to medication-assisted treatment (MAT). It’s time for CMS to act—streamlining access and providing better support for underserved populations can make a real difference in saving lives and closing the treatment gap. https://lnkd.in/e8xGQPiW
