To celebrate and recognize Proffitt & Associates’ 50-year milestone, we decided to reevaluate our mission, values, and objectives, and use that thinking as a foundation to refresh our visual identity. As part of the rebranding effort, we reflected on our extensive history and the legacy that Landon and Michael Proffitt created, then embarked on a discovery process to create a renewed vision for the firm. We teamed with Lisa Sirbaugh Creative to develop dynamic new branding, which includes a new logo design, color palette, and tagline. Our updated look was designed to reflect a modern, refined, geometric aesthetic using a natural color palette to acknowledge our commitment to sustainability. The suite received an Award of Excellence for Brand & Identity Campaign from the 2024 Communicator Awards. Lisa also helped design a package of exterior and interior environmental graphics for our office, which local marketing and signage company Graphcom fabricated and installed. We are thrilled with the outcome and are committed to provide collaborative, dependable, and solution-oriented design services to the local community for years to come. We believe strongly in the importance of supporting local organizations by offering pro-bono services and sponsorships. This year, Proffitt & Associates was a “Roadie” Sponsor of the Battle of the Bands event at Carroll Creek Amphitheater with proceeds benefiting The Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County, Dustin Construction’s Charity Golf Classic to benefit Student Homelessness Initiative Partnership of Frederick County, and Frederick Health’s 2024 Golf Classic in support of Kline Hospice House, Bereavement Support/Kids’ & Teens’ Grief Camp, Music Therapy, and Veterans’ Program. For the fourth consecutive year, we’re also a proud Sponsor of S.H.E. Week, put on by the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business Committee. This year’s S.H.E. Week is August 5-9 and includes a diverse range of activities including speakers, competitions, awards, and more designed to strengthen and empower women. In keeping with that theme, we decided to purchase our SWAG donation for the event - delicious handmade chocolates! – from Brooke’s House Coffee and Chocolate, a local organization developed to provide women suffering from substance abuse disorders with a social enterprise designed to teach residents new skills and work ethic while providing self-supporting revenue. Proffitt & Associates is fortunate to have partnered with the City of Frederick on a variety of projects over the past 40 years. We’ve assisted with historic restorations and interior renovations at City Hall, new parking garages at East All Saints Street and West Patrick Street, interior renovations at the Talley Recreation Center, and most recently, we’re working to relocate their Police Headquarters to a five-story vacant building at 100 East All Saints Street. We appreciate the opportunities that the City of Frederick has given to us and enjoy collaborating with them to improve the built environment right here in our community.
