Condolences to the families of the Francis Scott Key decking repair workers It is with sorrow this Easter weekend that PSE acknowledges the loss of so many immigrants to our nation, who work for our contractor, Brawner Builders. Along side project managers and trades-people who keep safety of the public their priority. It was not their intention to lose their lives in enjoying a nights work and a days pay, while feeding into the taxes, then sending what they could home. As one man’s uncle said on the news “he loved going to work every day.” These were immigrants; from Mexico, Honduras, Ecuador - always clocking-in when most of us go to sleep. Let me explain Brawner builders. They are exceptional builders. They take on both prestige projects and many that others don’t want. But: They have a passion for good work and a collaborative nature. We’ve worked with their staff now for two years - they do excellent work, they care, and always act responsibly. PSE is funding $2,000. I hope you can match this with small contributions. (And please note it defaults to a 15% tip. I believe that’s a little rich. That’s a lot out of the mouths of the families Who desperately need it. You may want to establish a different number as I did.) I hope like all of you the Frances Scott key bridge means just a little bit, even if it’s more than just the National Anthem.. I’ve ridden that bridge hundreds of times. It’s a remarkable steel bridge that was always transfixing in its bluish patina. And the hundreds of cross braces were remarkable on the narrow 4 lanes. We would always use that bridge. It is now a memorial to those who lost their lives. I hope you can support their legacies to their families. And to the two survivors, who went through tremendous torment. In our 38 years, we’ve had immigrants from Romania, Vietnam, Laos, Russia, India - as engineers and CAD designers. They bootstrap our nations roads and infrastructure, as well as America’s technology and construction. May your Easter be blessed with your family, while Passover and Ramadan with ease non-leavened food and of fasting. And, Double-Hug your kids.
