How many hours per day are saving workers with #AI on average? According to Adecco's fifth Global Workforce of the Future research, 1 hour. Not bad... But only 25% of workers have completed AI training for their jobs. Now imagine how much more of this potential can be realized if companies bring the figure closer to 100%! What other insights can we get from the report? Watch this short video and follow the link in the comments to download and explore it in full. #Futureofwork

Gen Z and millennial workers could significantly increase their #productivity if bosses had skills at working with different generations! The recent research* by The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Protiviti found that more than a third of Gen Z employees and 30% of millennials describe themselves in the workplace as unproductive. In addition, employees with managers who are more than 12 years their senior—the average gap between bosses and workers—are 1.5 times as likely to report low levels of productivity, and nearly three times as likely to report being unsatisfied in their job. “There is good evidence that across generations individuals have different tastes and preferences. So why do we expect them to work easily together? We now have five generations working together in the workplace, and the skills that are required to manage these dynamics are not usually being taught by firms.” - Dr Grace Lordan, founder and director of the Inclusion Initiative at LSE. LSE’s study divided respondents between those who worked in “intergenerationally inclusive” workplaces and those who didn’t. An “intergenerationally inclusive” work practice means considering an employee’s age when helping to develop their career. Focusing on making it easy for each generation to “fit in,” advancing workers based on merit rather than age, and having managers skilled at working with different generations were viewed as the key practices to improving productivity. According to the findings from the study, bosses who implemented these inclusive policies brought down low productivity levels among Gen Zers from 37% to 18%, and among millennials from 30% to 13%. “Our research shows that if we invest in giving these skills to managers, and creating intergenerationally inclusive workplaces, there are significant #ProductivityGains to be had,” said the LSE’s Lordan. * The survey of roughly 1,450 U.K. and U.S. office workers.

Check out this #automation solution that provides stunning drinks with natural ingredients! KUKA has recently introduced its innovative 3D printing demo. By merging #robotics, biosciences, and design, they’re helping to push the boundaries of 3D printing. The company's KR AGILUS is part of the process that builds complex 3D structures in a variety of drinks. To do this, microliter drops of edible liquid are injected precisely into a cocktail. #Innovation

Here is an awesome illustration that can help you every time you screw up. If even tech giants can demonstrate a product feature they want to only on the 3rd try*, then it means that we, "mere mortals", sometimes also have the right to make mistakes. But this case is also a great example of how not to lose #optimism and faith that everything will work out as it should, just as this speaker showed so well. *A live demonstration of Gemini didn't go as planned at the 2024 Made By Google event. Gemini #AI’s live demo failed twice, prompting presenter David Citron to joke, “Let’s see if the demo spirits are with us today.” Only on the third attempt, Gemini successfully checked Citron’s calendar to see if he’s free for Sabrina Carpenter’s upcoming show in San Francisco.
