? Beyond A/B and CRO ? I go over 3 things you could do to go to the next level of online experimentation maturity. (Lessons from physical product experimentation - where we're forced to be efficient.) But there's a ton more value than just efficiency in these items. I move pretty fast in this video, jamming a lot into it. ?? Leverage continuous variables for more powerful insights ?? Harness the power of multi-factor experiments to accelerate learning ?? Build a foundation of knowledge through first principles* and sustained experimentation How'd I come up with these? I spent a year learning about online experiments and compared it to my background in experiments with physical products. (If you want the really geeky details: I took tons of notes, adapted a VOC table to turn the notes into elements, then used the KJ method to create an affinity diagram. The 3 items I cover were the top level.) *In this case, the behavioral sciences. In the video, I mention that some folks are advocating for using behavioral science in online experimentation. Okay, here’s the deal. I made a video about noise factors. Not a lot of people watched it. Even less watched the whole thing, especially when it got dense. I also shared a quick guide, but again, not many downloads. So, maybe I should take that as a sign and move on from noise factors, right? Nope, I've never been exceptionally proficient at social cues. But more importantly, noise factors are a BIG deal in product development. They’re the root of all those pesky product performance problems persisting on your project. I couldn’t just ignore the topic. So, I decided to break down the video into smaller, easier-to-digest chunks and turn it into a free course.
