Philip Morris, CEO of Proctors Collaborative, announced the promotion of Jean Leonard to President today. Previously the chief of staff and head of programming, Leonard has served the institution for 12 years. In that time, in addition to program responsibility and duties in the office of the CEO, she has intermittently been responsible for other departments as well as special projects. This is a new position and is reflective of the organization's continued recovery from the nearly two-year shutdown during COVID and the expanding portfolio of activities that the Collaborative embraces. The Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Awards - aka the Eddies Music Awards - has announced its slate of eight 2024 Hall of Fame inductees. The slate includes artists from the fields of classical, folk, jazz and electronic music, as well as a pioneering hip-hop songwriter and two individuals who chronicled the local music scene as journalists. Members of our marketing team worked with these Tech Valley High School students this fall on a project to attract younger audiences to Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany. Derek, Amy and Juliana made an insightful presentation on their topic today to TVHS faculty, students, parents and community partners. We look forward to implementing many of their ideas and to working with TVHS students and staff in the future.
