Properly installed and maintained smoke alarms are considered to be one of the best and least expensive means of fire detection. Homes built between 1976-1999 were required by code to have electric detectors placed outside sleeping areas. They were not required to be interconnected or installed in locations like kitchens and inside bedrooms until 1999 Bluetooth smoke detectors can solve that issue. They can also add protection to newer homes by using them in areas that detectors are not required like crawlspaces, garages, and attics. #prococoatings #prefireplan #firesafety #innovation

Compared to homes constructed before 1970, modern homes are much larger and designed with open floor plans, and less compartmentation. They now use lightweight building materials, and interior furnishings consist predominantly of synthetic materials rather than natural ones. Over the weekend, I attended a ceremony where the Home Builders Association and the Home for Heroes gave away their 27th home to a fallen soldier's family. After seeing that, I’m proud to say that ProCo Coatings is now a member of the HBA.
