CEO of Process Street. Making work high quality and compliant at scale. Backed by Accel, Salesforce and Atlassian.

How do you regulate AI when innovation moves faster than policy? That's the tough question tackled in a fascinating discussion with industry leaders from Uber, Partnership on AI, Credo AI, and Bloomberg. Sean Perryman (Uber), Madhulika Srikumar (Partnership on AI), Lucía Gamboa (Credo AI), and Oma Seddiq (Bloomberg) unpacked critical insights into the rapidly evolving landscape of AI governance and standards at their recent panel at SXSW: Navigating AI standards isn't straightforward—it's voluntary, fragmented, and often behind the pace of technological advances. Why? Because AI isn't static. As Madhulika pointed out, we're rapidly shifting from content generation to AI agents that perform actions autonomously, adding new layers of complexity to regulation. Lucía emphasized the importance of "shifting the incentive calculus" to drive adoption of safety and fairness standards proactively. Retroactively fitting standards is costly and ineffective. Sean highlighted a key challenge: harmonization. Regulations across states, countries, and sectors lack consistency, creating confusion rather than clarity. "We're seeing a flood of bills, each defining AI differently," he explained. And there's a critical gap in current AI audits and evaluations, as Madhulika noted. "Real-world AI usage looks vastly different from controlled benchmarks." Multi-turn interactions, complex behaviors, and unpredictable use cases reveal limitations of existing frameworks. Yet, standards matter deeply. They're not just technical checkboxes; they're the foundation of trust. Lucía described it perfectly: "Standards mean you don't just have to trust companies blindly—you have measurable proof of performance." AI regulation requires: - Common definitions and global harmonization. - Proactive rather than reactive governance frameworks. - Evaluations aligned with real-world applications. - Accessible, open standards to avoid barriers for smaller companies. The takeaway? AI standards are essential, imperfect, and evolving—but crucial for innovation and trust. Companies, regulators, and technologists must collaborate closely to bridge the gap between rapid innovation and thoughtful governance. How do you think we can better balance innovation with effective AI regulation? Would love to hear your thoughts below.

How I Build Scalable, Automated Workflows That Actually Work Growth is great—until your systems can’t keep up. Processes break, things slip through the cracks, and teams spend more time fixing problems than moving forward. As CEO of Workflow Automation Expert - https://lnkd.in/g6Ntb5ds, I’ve seen this play out at every level. Startups, mid-size companies, even enterprise clients like Meta, Amazon, and OpenAI—they all hit a breaking point where manual processes just don’t scale. That’s where Process Street comes in. *Why Process Street?* Most businesses think they have systems. What they actually have is tribal knowledge—scattered across Slack, emails, and Google Docs. That’s not a process. That’s just hoping people remember what to do. I use Process Street to turn chaotic, inconsistent workflows into structured, automated systems that make execution easy and mistakes rare. *How I Build Systems That Scale* ? Stop relying on memory Workflows should guide people through tasks step by step—not live in someone’s head. I use Process Street to create repeatable, automated checklists so nothing gets missed. ? Automate the busy work Repetitive tasks? I connect Process Street using inbound/outbound webhooks, Zapier, Make, and n8n to automate handoffs between tools. That means fewer manual errors and more time for high-impact work. ? Create real accountability Who owns what? Where are we in the process? With approvals, tracking, and real-time updates, everyone knows what needs to happen next. No more “Did we do that yet?” conversations. ? Scale without scaling chaos More clients, more complexity—but no extra headaches. Process Street keeps everything running smoothly, whether it’s: ?? Podcast production (one missed step = delayed launch) ?? Real estate transactions (where speed + accuracy = revenue) ?? Healthcare operations (where compliance isn’t optional) *The Bottom Line* Documentation isn’t execution. Spreadsheets and PDFs don’t create efficiency—systems do. I’ve built these workflows for startups, real estate firms, healthcare clinics, and high-growth media companies, turning messy operations into scalable, automated machines. If you’re still managing growth with Google Docs and crossed fingers, it’s time to upgrade. Let’s talk—drop a comment or DM me.

Most companies get onboarding completely wrong. They think it begins when a new hire walks through the door. ???????????????????? ???????????? ?????? ???????????? ?????? ??????. Megan Weizel, Managing Partner & Career Strategist at Salmela, says it actually starts the moment you decide to fill a role. Megan explains. “???? ???????? ???? ???????? ?????? ???? ????????????????, ??????'???? ?????????????? ?????? ???????? ?????? ?????? ???????? ???????? ???????? ????????????." Aligning stakeholders early and delivering a white-glove experience for candidates can make or break your hiring game. Mistakes will happen. When a candidate showed up without a laptop due to a mix-up, the company didn’t just apologize—they rolled out the red carpet with coffee, a quick fix, and a genuine apology. This resulted in a stronger relationship and a happy new hire. ?? ?????? ????????????????: Treat candidates like your favorite aunt. Focus on the little things, over-communicate, and make them feel genuinely valued. #Onboarding #RecruitmentTips #TalentStrategy #EmployeeOnboarding

Who really owns AI-generated content? Spoiler: The answer isn’t clear…yet. Conventional IP laws were designed for human creators, not machines. As AI generates everything from articles to code, the issue of who owns this content is becoming increasingly complicated. As Ryan Paugh pointed out in Senior Executive's recent article, "Who, if anyone, owns AI-generated content? How can copyright laws adapt without stifling innovation?" At Process Street, we’re looking into these challenges. Our CRO, Jerry Dimos, explains: "AI blurs the lines around authorship and ownership. Current laws aren’t built for this. We need clearer definitions on AI-assisted versus AI-created works to protect creators without killing innovation." ??The takeaway: As AI-generated content grows, IP laws must adapt to clarify ownership, authorship, and compensation. #ArtificialIntelligence #TechPolicy #DigitalRights #ContentOwnership #FutureOfWork?

If you use Notion to manage projects and Process Street for structured workflows, automating the connection between the two can save time and reduce manual work. For example, if a task in Notion reaches a certain stage, such as "Ready for Execution," you can automatically trigger a Process Street workflow to ensure the next steps are followed correctly. How to Set It Up (Using Zapier): *Trigger (Notion) – When a new task is created or updated in a specific Notion database. *Action (Process Street) – Run a specific workflow, such as "Client Onboarding" or "Project Kickoff," and pull in relevant task details like the name, assigned person, and due date. Additional Enhancements: *Assign team members based on Notion task owners. *Send notifications in Slack or email when a workflow starts. *Add Notion task links inside the Process Street workflow for reference. This automation helps streamline handoffs, ensures processes are followed, and keeps teams aligned without extra admin work. Let me know if you want a step-by-step guide to setting it up.
