Wrapping up an amazing two days at #IndustrialIMMERSIVE – the largest community of its kind in the world, bringing hundreds of immersive tech leaders together in Houston. The energy and innovation at this event were incredible. From cutting-edge XR applications to AI-driven digital twins, the conversations reinforced how immersive tech is reshaping industries, from biomanufacturing to energy, healthcare, and beyond. This week, Prism Immersive brought BioSuite Virtual to Boston, meeting with key leaders in the city’s unmatched biomanufacturing sector.?Boston is a hub of innovation in biomanufacturing, playing a crucial role in shaping the U.S. and global bioeconomy. Our team came to listen, learn, and collaborate. Everything we do is with the singular goal of creating the best possible workforce training solutions. The insights gained here will be invaluable as we continue to refine BioSuite Virtual and its offerings. We had the pleasure of engaging with Natalie Kuldell of BioBuilder Educational Foundation, Eduardo Sanchez of Northeastern University’s Biopharmaceutical Analysis Training Lab (BATL), Tatiana Yglesias Ulloa of Portal Innovations, LLC's Boston-Southline Labs, and Isso Bayala of Quincy College. We’re excited to share this first peek at BioSuite Virtual, Prism Immersive's training platform designed to transform how biomanufacturing skills are taught. This cutting-edge tool will be used in both academic and industrial settings, offering a scalable and efficient approach to training the next generation of bioindustrial professionals. The trainee will learn key concepts in fermentation science, full bioreactor assembly and operations, monitoring and controlling of key variables, and more while immersed in a virtual laboratory. With key input from our ecosystem, consisting of more than a dozen sites piloting our program, BioSuite Virtual is truly built for the biomanufacturing community, by the biomanufacturing community. BioSuite Virtual will provide:? - Immersive Mixed Reality training that places users in a realistic environment with bioreactor models, manipulable elements, built-in support tools, demos, and animations. - Flexible, scalable training for technicians that significantly reduces the time and cost associated with traditional, in-person education.? - Anywhere, anytime access, allowing users to repeat processes at their own pace, ensuring mastery and reducing the risk of mistakes in real-world applications.? - Credentials, enabling trainees to track and build their skills as they progress.? - Realistic, hands-on simulations that allow trainees to interact with biomanufacturing processes in a Mixed Reality environment. As the demand for skilled professionals in biomanufacturing grows, BioSuite Virtual will close the skills gap, ensuring that both students and current employees are prepared to meet the challenges of the growing bioeconomy. Prism Immersive had an amazing trip this week traveling across the Heartland.?On Tuesday, we were graciously hosted by Brian Jacobson, Beth Conerty, Marissa N., Phillip Manning, Tom McKenna and Jedi Brown at the Integrated Bioprocessing Research Laboratory at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.?After seeing their impressive pilot scale biomanufacturing facility, we set up our BioSuite Virtual pilot space.?We are incredibly excited to have IBRL joining our ecosystem. Daniel Beaupré and I drove through the night across Illinois and Missouri to Kansas City appreciating the vast biomanufacturing feedstocks of the region.?Today, we worked all day with our good friend and colleague Angela Consani, CEO of Bioscience Core Skills Institute (BCSI) to discuss strategies for credentialling within BioSuite Virtual.?Our trip culminated with a visit to Kansas City Kansas Community College discussing the merits of mixed reality training with Dr. Edward Kremer and Scott Balog, Ed.D. Hearing the pure amazement when our ecosystem is immersed in BioSuite Virtual for the first time is the reason why we do this.?We are excited to accelerate learning in new and engaging ways.
