Last Friday we celebrated #401k Day, and this week we’re commemorating the 50th anniversary of ERISA—the U.S. retirement legislation that regulates benefit plans and protects workers’ retirement assets. So it seems a fitting week to consider the important role workplace retirement plans continue to play in financial security.?? I firmly believe improving financial security starts with increasing retirement readiness. Even today, when current economic conditions are making it harder to prioritize savings, workers continue to cite retirement as their number one financial priority.
