We were pleased to host the New Jersey Governor’s Office, First Lady Tammy Murphy, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), Tim Sullivan, Judith Sheft and the Commission on Science, Innovation and Technology (CSIT) team, Lisa Asare, president and CEO of the New Jersey Maternal & Infant Health Innovation Authority (NJMIHIA), and invited guests on Tuesday.
First Lady Tammy Murphy and Tim Sullivan, CEO of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), announced that the CSIT awarded a combined $1.7 million in grants to twenty-three New Jersey-based startups focused on developing technology, therapeutics, and other solutions to address maternal and infant health challenges. The grants were awarded through Round 2 of CSIT’s Maternal and Infant Health R&D Grant Program.
We want to congratulate three of our resident companies that received grants, Yekaterina (Kat) Tarasova of Mycsology Foods Inc., Justin Silpe of PumpKin (pictured, photo #2), and Himanshu Bhatia MD, MBA, of RICOVR Healthcare! Also, a big thank you to Melina Blees, director of business operations and strategy at BioLabs for Advanced Therapeutics (pictured, photo #1) in Philadelphia, who gave the opening welcome and introduced First Lady Tammy Murphy (pictured center, photo #3), and to Danielle Bogdanowicz of BioLabs, who joined us for the event.
