Princess Chambers is committed to building the confidence and self-esteem of young women during their senior year of high school as they transition to adulthood. Our mission is to empower culturally diverse groups of young women from under-served communities by providing resources, mentoring, academic scholarships and workshops that will prepare them for college and post-secondary success. Since inception, we have served over 800 young women through our prom dress giveaway and awarded 11 college bound young women with scholarships towards their pursuit of higher education. In 2021, we launched “The Chamber,” a boutique style FREE shopping event to provide everyday clothing essentials to young women living in New York City. The goal of this event is to give students access to quality fashionable new clothing to attend school with confidence at no cost and have served 260 young women through this initiative.

On Saturday, July 27th, 2024 we hosted our annual Garden Party and celebrated the deserving recipients of the Crowned Princess Scholarships! This includes the Lula Holliday Memorial Scholarships, in honor of the late mother of our board member Craig Holliday and the Jules Taylor, Jr. Memorial Scholarship, which continues the legacy of the late husband of our supporter, Emmlyn Taylor. This year’s recipients include: ?Amayah will be attending St. John’s University majoring in Pharmacy ?Amira will be attending Emory University majoring in Business Administration ?Fiona will be attending Binghamton University majoring in Neuroscience ?Eloma will be attending g St. Joseph’s University majoring in Nursing ?Alana will be attending Howard University majoring in Computer Science ?Kelly will be attending Harvard University majoring in Applied Mathematics Congratulations to all the college bound young women who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence. A special thank you to Mercy Home for hosting us and BLOOMAGAINBKLYN for providing handmade flower crowns for our awardees and fresh floral arrangements for our guest to make their own personal bouquet! All ladies were also gifted with bedding and dorm essentials as they prepare to move on campus. ?Announcement? Princess Chambers is currently accepting applications for our 2024 Crowned Princess scholarships! The Crowned Princess Scholarship was established by Princess Chambers in 2015 to provide funding towards young women’s college education. In 2021, we launched the Lula Holliday Memorial Scholarship, in honor of the mother of our Board Member, Craig Holliday, to continue her legacy through academic empowerment. Last year, we added the “Jules Taylor, Jr. Memorial Scholarship to continue the legacy of the husband of Emmlyn Taylor, the Assistant Director of Corporate Work Study Program at one of our high school partners. Since inception, we have awarded twenty one young women through our scholarships! College bound students from New York City will have an opportunity to receive academic or book scholarships ranging between $500-$2,000. The deadline is Friday, 6/21/24 at 11:59PM ET. Although we’ve been on a hiatus from our signature boutique style prom dress giveaway, last Friday, 5/10/24, took us down memory lane and gave us all the feels! Our team did an intimate pop-up and gave these princesses the royal treatment in preparation for an upcoming red carpet student awards ceremony. From getting dresses to light beauty makeovers, the energy was absolutely electric. ?? Seeing everyone light up with joy and confidence was the perfect way to spend the evening. Many thanks to the NYC Department of Education for having us and our amazing volunteers who made this event possible. Of course the ladies left with a special gift from Thrive Causementics with a few beauty essentials! ??????? #specialmoments #sisterhood #PrincessChambers
