I am excited to have participated in the US Green Building Council's Building Transformation Forum this week! A huge thank you to Sade Dennis, MS, and St. John Properties, Inc. for the opportunity to speak and engage in such a crucial discussion and call to action. We highlighted several key topics: Green Jobs and Economic Prosperity The Role of Business in Supporting Community Resilience Equity in the Built Environment At the Prince George's Chamber of Commerce, we are deeply committed to fostering Green Built Economies. During our session, we highlighted two of our six legislative priorities for 2025: ???Legislative Priority #3: Advocating for Green Initiatives and Development a.Establishing partnerships with key stakeholders to promote green initiatives. b. Advocating for sustainable development practices and the adoption of Building Energy Performance Standards. ???Legislative Priority #4: Increasing Equitable Access to Opportunity: This includes Access to Capital, Digital Equity, Transportation Infrastructure, Federal Opportunities, and Workforce Development.
