Yet another defense verdict from Prime…. Quick facts: The Plaintiff tried to pass our insured’s tractor trailer whilst the insured was attempting to turn left, resulting in a sideswipe accident. The plaitiff was allenging neck and back injuries, as well as a traumatic brain injury ( concussion to the rest of us- I have had many and I am fine???). He incurred $60k+ in medical bills, as well as alleging $1.788m in lost earnings etc. In December of 2023, we filed a PFS for $50k ( which means we would be entitled to attorney fees from that day on, if we were to beat that number by 25%). Prior to trial plaintiff’s lowest demand was $925k. Before the last day of trial, plaintiff demanded $750k. We responded by telling plaintiff’s counsel we would give them a chance to dismiss their case, otherwise we intend to fully pursue fees in the event we beat the $50k PFS offer, the plaintiff declined. The jury took 20 mins, and came back with a defense verdict, awarding the plaintiff zero. Zip. Nothing. We intend to pursue our fees. Please repost. The tide can change and we can bring cheaper insurance if we stop being “taxed” by the plaintiffs! Prime Insurance Company ???????? stop the rot…
