Prime Design was at the APDesign Design Expo last Friday. We were thrilled by the interest in so many students to our firm! Loved the conversations and connections. It's a joy for us to stay connected with the KSU community and be saturated with such talent! Thanks especially to Ava Squires, Kayla Bonczkowski, Molly Edelman who gave up some of their Expo time to hang around our booth and share their experiences with fellow classmates. :)

This past weekend we had our annual company-wide retreat, this year in Salida, CO ?? Our company retreat is always a great time to connect with coworkers (especially our remote team members!) and enjoy the outdoors! Activities included eating great food & hiking ????We even got a little snow! Having retreats like these helps us live out our core values of "influence" and "community". We take time to positively influence each other, and enhance our team community. Our 712 Seagaze Mixed-Use Development in Oceanside CA received an AHSC (Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities) funding award! The AHSC funding will help turn a vacant parking lot into 179 affordable apartments to meet the city’s housing element goals. The North County Transit District and the Department of Housing and Community Development were key contributors to this award effort. By adding affordable housing into an urban infill site near sources of employment, mass transit, schools, shopping, and services, the project allows residents to lower their cost of living and their carbon footprint. The AHSC program also provides funding for transportation including $12.9 million for wayfinding at the Oceanside Transit Center along with urban greening at the platform, Bus Stop Upgrades, and Sprinter Signal Modernization. ???This project award is a huge win for Prime Design! We braved the Dallas heat for our off-site work retreat, creating space and time for a think tank and workshop to cultivate and refine our design process. Included some adventuring on horseback and city sightseeing for added reinvigoration ????????? Investing in our studio growth and its people is incredibly important and we are so grateful for this team of PRIME designers!
