After a positive experience in 2024, Pride Foundation is conducting an open process for community members to join our Board of Directors for a second year. The goals of our open process are to help us: - More equitably evaluate board member prospects based on our identified priorities and their alignment with our values. - Reach beyond our existing individual networks to ensure we cast a wide net for board member prospects. - Offer the breadth of our community the opportunity to self-identify their interest in serving on our board of directors. - Build a more sustainable pipeline for people to join our board over the long term Visit our website to learn more about our requirements, priorities, and apply by March 9th: https://lnkd.in/gDBPiZZk

Across the country, LGBTQ+ communities are facing an increasingly hostile political climate that threatens our safety, well-being, and fundamental rights. From legislative attacks on transgender and nonbinary individuals to funding cuts for essential services, the challenges are growing—and so is the need for urgent, responsive support. At Pride Foundation, we have always been committed to meeting our communities where they are, responding with agility and care to the shifting realities they face, and mobilizing resources to support them. In that spirit, we are launching the Fortitude Fund, a new initiative designed to provide timely, flexible resources to LGBTQ+ organizations confronting these escalating challenges. Pride Foundation is honored to award more than $2.7 million in funding to 106 LGBTQ+ organizations across the Northwest through our Community Grants program.?? These organizations are doing critical work to support, uplift, and advocate for LGBTQ+ communities—especially those led by and for BIPOC, trans, and gender-expansive people. Our funding approach prioritizes multi-year grants, low-barrier access, and trust-based philanthropy to ensure sustainability for the grassroots organizations leading this work. We are deeply grateful for their work and excited to continue supporting community-led solutions that create lasting impact. ??Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/g8krTW3A

Right now, in the face of escalating attacks on LGBTQ+ communities—especially trans and non-binary youth—it is more critical than ever to invest in the safety, joy, and leadership of young people. That’s why we’re proud to share the release of our?Washington Youth Initiative report:?Supporting Spaces of Joy, Belonging, and Leadership for LGBTQ+ Youth. This report is the culmination of a two-year, $1.6 million pilot project funded by the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, that provided flexible funding and capacity support to 20 organizations across Washington.?Through this initiative, over 1,940 LGBTQ+ youth gained access to leadership development opportunities, affirming spaces, and essential support—particularly in rural areas and organizations led by Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (QTBIPOC). The findings in this report highlight what we’ve long known: when LGBTQ+ youth have access to safe spaces, supportive networks, and community-driven programs, they thrive. But the work isn’t done. Now is the time for funders, policymakers, and all of us to step up, listen to young people, and invest in long-term, sustainable solutions.
