They say a picture is worth a thousand words—well, in this case, a graphic makes it crystal clear. Starting today, we’re drawing a bold contrast between the outdated 1991 Transition Assistance Program (TAP) and our Modern Military Transition Framework (MMTF)—a system designed for real success, not just checked boxes. We’re at a fork in the road. It’s time to move toward a smarter, more effective approach that benefits: ? Military Service Members ? Military Families ? Employers ? Higher Education Institutions This shift isn’t just possible—it’s necessary. And the best part? Everyone wins. Let’s move forward—together.

We are a Military & Veteran Training and Workforce Development Company
关于我们
PreVeteran is a veteran-owned, data-driven workforce development company that specializes in optimizing military members and military spouses for private sector employment before they leave the military. We believe that empowering the individual to regain their thinking and decision-making autonomy is foundational to their success post-military. PreVeteran has been successfully providing this high-powered individual training since 2021. In additional to individual training, PreVeteran also provides corporate training and higher ed training. Both training offers are born out of lessons learned from the individual training we've been running since 2021. In short, we understand how military members who don't receive individual training behave in corporate and higher ed environments and can help your organization optimize your current employees / student veterans. And our programs can bolt on to your existing programs. Our light framework is adaptable and scalable to meet your needs, big or small. Have questions? The image says it all...employment struggle, mental health struggles, relationship struggles, and identity struggles can all be explained through the lens of a poorly structured Transition Assistance Program (TAP). More on this soon as PreVeteran gets ready to launch the Modern Military Transition Framework (MMTF) so all can benefit. ?? With a better framework comes (much) better solutions. ??

QUARTERLY REMINDER—Don't be this guy! ?? Wow, has it already been four months since we last shared this image? Time flies! ? But the bigger question is—why would a military service member even think of ending up in this situation? The answer? ?? The 1991 Transition Assistance Program (TAP) was built on a flawed structure, leaving 200,000 transitioning service members each year to figure out their own way forward—essentially forcing them to create 200,000 unique transition models. Yes, you read that right. Every single year, a fresh wave of service members are left to navigate their transition alone, often ending up like the big guy in the image below. ?? While the image might be amusing, the reality behind it is far from funny. This broken system leads to suboptimal outcomes for service members and their families. The real solution? Reframing the problem so that military members receive highly individualized, scalable, and cost-effective training—training that restores their autonomy and equips them to thrive in the private sector. Are you ready to make real, lasting changes in 2025? LFG! ?? #militarytransition #transitioningmilitary #preveteran #DOL

If you're looking for a great article for how #AI enables individuals, this one is a gem. ?? As a small business, we can tell you there's a ton of truth to this Forbes article. Between AI and low/no cost SAAS solutions, costs are plummeting and small companies can now complete, product-wise, with large companies. From the article: This article explores how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping economic opportunities by empowering individuals rather than just corporations. The piece suggests that AI could enable individuals to leverage technology to create significant economic value, potentially leading to the emergence of "billion-dollar people." This shift challenges traditional business models and highlights the transformative potential of AI in democratizing wealth creation. Check it out and let us know what YOU think. ??

Want some insights in what we've been working on regarding #Veteran #WorkforceDevelopment? Take a look at the graphic below. ?? ?? At PreVeteran, we're fierce military and veteran advocates but choose to examine SkillBridge and employment retention challenges through the lens of the following reality... ? The military and private sector environments are very different from one another. As a result, through intentional training, military service members are optimized to operate in the military environment. Extend this logic and its easy to see that transitioning military service members and veterans who've entered the private sector workforce need training to become acclimated to the (very different) private sector environment. If they DON'T receive this training, the transitioning service member / veteran employee is left to: ? Figure out how to acclimate on their own ? Figure out what actions they need to take to do their job effectively ? Try to understand how this private sector organization functions and where they fit into this organization That is why we, starting in 2025, launched our Veteran Workforce Training solutions for any company, in any industry, that has >7% veteran workforce. Our Veteran Workforce Training is unique to the market because we acclimate the military service member and veteran to the business...because once they're acclimated, they're unstoppable! This also significantly improves individual: ? Performance ? Moral ? Well-being ? Sense of Purpose ? Collaborative Teamwork ?? ?? OFFER—Want to try a no-cost, 2-hour demo of our Veteran Workforce Training? Comment below, DM our founder, Jason C. Anderson, or click on the link in the comments to book a discovery call. #militarytransition #skillbridge #workforcedevelopment #training

Folks, if you want a window into what's been wrong with the #militarytransition system since 1991, look no further than this article from MilitaryOneSource. To save you the time, here's a handful of items from the laundry list they feel you need to do to land that civilian job. 1?? Verify Yourself—Get a summary of your military experience and training 2?? Get a Career Assessment—Meet with an advisor & see how your skills apply 3?? Translate Your Experience—Into something the employer understands 4?? Assess, Repeat—Rinse and repeat While this has been the "conventional wisdom" for military service members created by the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) system and stakeholders, it absolutely misses the point in our view. ??♂? Here's why—situational awareness and the ability to navigate. With this poor setup, the military service member is robbed of both when moving over into the new private sector employment environment. ?? Let's Examine This Claim ?? Situational awareness has two parts: the external environment and the internal processing of that environment. ? The military and private sector environments are fundamentally different from one another and nowhere in the 12 Steps is there training to help the service member better understand the private sector environment they're entering. ? Result—the military service member is not aware of the new environment they're stepping into ? With a significant change in environments, the mindset, thinking and decision making must also change to be optimized for this new environment. ? Result—the military service member inevitably leverages their current mindset, thinking and decision-making schemes developed and perfected in the military Now that we're firmly in 2025, it's time to change these age-old paradigms that haven't been helpful to military service members, their families, or the overall health and wellness of the veteran community. More on the change in the next couple of weeks...hold tight. ?? Comments or questions? Let's hear 'em! ??

Military service members seeking post-military employment, things are changing fast! In the recent past, you had to deal with getting past the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Now you have to deal with AI as well. ?? From the MSN article, "Despite concerns surrounding data privacy, potential discrimination, and the inability to recognize hidden potential in candidates, HR executives maintain that AI is making the hiring process more efficient and faster." In other words, AI is not going anywhere, so you'll need to content with this as well. How does one do that? ?? There is a 4-part answer: 1?? Determine where you want to live post-military 2?? Location almost always dictates your job opportunities (remote roles are the outlier) 3?? Down-select to 2-3 companies and network within those companies 4?? Through networking, bypass the ATS and AI Here's the catch with the 4-part answer...for best results, you need to begin doing this work about 18 months BEFORE you depart the military. Do you feel overwhelmed or don't know how to get started? Join our next Employment Prep Course (EPC) cohort starting on 27 Jan 2025. We have a model, tools, support, and a community for this transformation. Interested? Check out the first comment for a link to the EPC page. Questions? Drop them below. ?? ??
