St. Louis has a rich history of supporting and donating to charitable causes, especially when it comes to those who are underprivileged. Listen to J.P. Johnson, Director of Development, as he touches on the importance of individual donations to PreventEd and the widespread impact they can leave on people directly affected by substance use in the St. Louis area. This giving season, please consider supporting our efforts to supply resources, programs, and knowledge about mental health and substance use to the region. https://lnkd.in/gSY_NVfk #Nonprofit #StLouis #GivingSeason

We had the absolute best time this weekend at Teen Institute! Around 50 high schoolers joined us for four days of fun, learning, and growth. Thank you to all of the small group leaders and staff members who helped put on another successful camp, all the wonderful students who made the weekend special, and to the Wyman Center for allowing us to use their space! We hope you found the experience as meaningful as we did! ?? ?? #TI2024

Change is constant, especially as we enter 2025. We want to reaffirm our legislative priorities when it comes to reducing and preventing the harms of substance use. We remain committed to addressing substance use as a public health concern with equitable opportunities for evidence-based treatments and recovery in a behavioral health setting. You can learn more about our advocacy efforts and mission on our website. https://lnkd.in/gUDsYDtn #SolutionsNotStigma

4 years ago, when PreventEd started the PrevenTable podcast, we had no idea if it was gonna take off. Would anyone listen? Would anyone care? Thanks to the incredible support of Patti Price-Sexauer and the Hubbard team, the podcast has performed better than we could have ever imagined. We’ve shared stories, uplifted voices, and highlighted community efforts in a way that no 15 or 30 second sound bite ever could. Personally, this podcast came at a time when I was feeling a bit creatively drained. It gave me an outlet and a platform that I needed (even if I didn’t know I needed it). I’m truly grateful for the opportunity. This is the end for me on the PrevenTable, but not the end for the podcast, or for me hosting podcasts. Please keep listening to the PrevenTable. And if you’re looking for another pod hosted by yours truly, check out The Shield (sorry for the shameless plug). Onward!
??? It’s our Season 4 Finale! ?? Please help us thank Nichole for the hard work and passion she's put into the PrevenTable podcast over the last four years! ?? and/or ?? today: https://lnkd.in/gz37CJB8 #Nonprofit #STL #StLouis #Podcast

It's the season of giving, so we brought in our Board President Tom Etling to share more about why he believes in PreventEd. As parents of four, Tom and his wife have seen the power of PreventEd's programs in guiding adolescents through tough life stages and making challenging decisions surrounding mental health, alcohol, and other drugs. As you consider many charitable organizations this holiday season, we want to share our appreciation for your ongoing support. Our new Director of Development J.P. Johnson is already making a mark on PreventEd in the two months he's been here! As a member of the Executive Leadership team, J.P. oversees the Development Department which is responsible for generating diversified revenue for the organization and assisting donors achieve their philanthropic goals. ? He sees the people as the core of the agency. PreventEd - as an integrated ecosystem of employees, clients, partners, volunteers, and donors who support our agency’s mission - is sincere in its dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of the residents and their communities in the Eastern Region of Missouri. J.P. recognizes how our community has been continually and inimically impacted by substance use in myriad ways, which can be destabilizing to individuals, families, and communities. As someone who can offer attestations, he hopes to lend grace and guidance for anyone seeking a path forward - whether that be abstaining from that which brings harm, charting a new frontier for their futures, and anything in between that leads to a healthier, happier life. J.P.'s role at PreventEd empowers him to foster relationships, steward resources, and direct growth toward our mission. We are grateful to have him and to continue seeing his impact on the organization! ?? #SolutionsNotStigma
