?????????? ???????????????????????? ???????? ?????? ??????????????! This season, we are reminded of the power of gratitude and connection. Every child deserves a loving, supportive environment where they can thrive and dream big. Today, we give thanks for: ??The families who nurture and inspire young minds. ??The educators and caregivers who pour their hearts into building brighter futures. ??The communities that stand together to support children and families. Let's continue working to ensure all children in Georgia grow up in a positive and nurturing world. What are you most thankful for this year? New Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Study Highlights the Importance of Preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Among Teens A new CDC report reveals that ACEs, such as abuse, neglect, and witnessing violence, are far too common among U.S. high school students. With 3 in 4 teens experiencing at least one ACE, the link between these experiences and mental health challenges is undeniable. The good news? Prevention can make a tremendous impact. By preventing ACEs, suicide attempts among teens could decrease by up to 89%, prescription pain medication misuse by 84%, and persistent feelings of sadness by 66%. At PCA America, we are proud to contribute to this vital research, and we remain committed to building safe, stable, and nurturing environments that prevent ACEs before they start. Together, we can create healthier futures for all children, support families, and strengthen communities.
