Pretend City Children’s Museum features a small, interconnected city designed to “build better brains” through purposeful play, hands-on learning experiences, role playing, and educational programming. As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving all children, it depends on community-based funding and guest support. Through 17 interactive exhibits and activities guided by a highly trained professional staff, children learn foundational math, reading and science skills, while fostering curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, organization, teamwork, self-confidence and socialization. The museum is a unique community resource offering developmental screenings and tools for families, educators and community agencies working to ensure that each child gains the experiences needed to discover their potential and build toward a productive and fulfilling future.

  • Farmhouse Friends is now with us at Pretend City! ?? We welcomed Farmhouse Friends with not only a ceremonial ribbon cutting, but also a good ol’ fashioned hoedown. ?? We are so excited to have this addition to our farm, and the Pretend City citizens are already loving it! A special thank you to Mayor Larry Agran, Vice Mayor James Mai, and Councilmembers William Go, Kathleen Treseder, Mike Carroll, and Melinda Liu for your support!

  • Our Donor Spotlight showcases the incredible generosity and diversity of our supporters and highlight the impacts their contributions make to Pretend City. It’s our way of celebrating those who help bring our mission to life! This month we are highlighting the Topacio Family! Giving back has always been important to us. After learning just how much Pretend City does for our community, we knew we had to be part of their story. We started with a family membership, allowing us to enjoy and benefit from their programming. Seeing the positive impact firsthand with our daughter (who just turned four), we felt compelled to contribute even more—leading us to become proud members of the City Lights giving circle.?This way, we can support Pretend City’s mission and help ensure that they continue to provide their invaluable services to our community.
