Being a core open-source BI product has many advantages. One of which is how fast our underlying community moves and grows. AI tools like Kapa.ai that help manage and support this community are essential, and will undoubtedly help open-source Apache Superset (and Preset!) surpass other proprietary tools and codebases in the BI space. The future is indeed bright.
WOW. The most-starred Apache project (Superset) just launched Ask AI chat on their docs, and the effect was immediate: Less than 10 minutes after using kapa.ai, a developer fixed an issue that had been plaguing them for days. 1. They announced the launch in their Slack community 2. A user saw the announcement 3. 10 minutes later, their issue was fixed This is the type of developer experience that’s only possible when you have an AI assistant positioned closely to your docs. Because Superset’s has access to everything it needs to help its users: 1. All documentation 2. Github open issues 3. PRs 4. READMEs So any error known error message or situation is covered by the AI assistant. It can provide deep, personalized help beyond “have you tried turning it off and on again” or “works on my machine”. Love seeing instant success deployments like this. Plus, I’m just so excited to think about how many developer headaches this will fix. The Apache Software Foundation is the biggest software nonprofit in the world, home to huge, famous projects like Kafka and Spark. Superset being their most-starred project means we’re helping so many developers. If this is what happens within a few minutes of Superset’s deployment, I can’t wait to see how many issues it helps resolve for developers in the months and years to come. Another happy kapa user.
