During Suicide Prevention Month, it's crucial to acknowledge the alarming rise in suicide rates among young people ages 10-24—a 62% increase that cannot be ignored. Research shows that strong connections with caring adults can significantly reduce the risk of suicidal thoughts in youth. At Presence, we believe in the power of these connections. Women’s Equality Day marks the enactment of the 19th Amendment—a pivotal moment in American democracy that barred states from excluding women from the ballot based solely on their sex. While it did not guarantee the vote for all women, it was a significant milestone in the ongoing struggle for women's equality. Today we honor this historic achievement and take this opportunity to also celebrate the trailblazing women who have transformed the field of special education. The Presence team had an amazing time in Salt Lake City this week at our #PresenceTogether event! The back-to-school season is such a busy time for our business and for the many parents on our teams!! But that's all the more reason why we loved taking an evening to connect, kick back, and create some amazing memories!
