**Presbytery Welcomes Denominational Leaders** Being part of a connectional church gives us the privilege of interacting with the remarkable ministry undertaken by Presbyterians around the country. From February 2 to 5, we had the opportunity to organize several activities with the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) General Assembly Rev. Tony Larson and Rev. Jihyun Oh, Stated Clerk and Executive Director of the Interim Unified Agency. We are grateful to La Canada Presbyterian Church and Silverlake Community Church for joining us in hosting oir distingushed guests. The itinerary included a conversation with members of the Lead Team, meetings with people impacted by the fires, dialogues about New Worshiping Communities and innovation, a meeting about ministry with immigrants and a gathering in celebration of our 170 years in Los Angeles.

Dear Friends, Our Presbytery staff is currently seeking ways to respond to the disruption, displacement, and distress caused by the spread of fires in the Los Angeles area. I, personally, just got off the phone with a leader of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) and plan to participate in a meeting of the Emergency Network Los Angeles at 2 PM. I have become aware that pastors Steve Wiebe, Ross Purdy, and several members of various congregations have been evacuated. La Ca?ada Presbyterian Church has also done that. Please pray for them and reply if you have additional information that may be relevant.
