?? Staff Spotlight ?? Meet Amy Ferguson! Amy serves as a dedicated Customer Service Representative for our Logistics Team. Amy has been with Premium Peanut for an impressive 8 ? years, and her contributions have been a key part of our success. Amy plays a vital role in managing our export shipments, as well as all of our railcar shipments, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. From arranging trucking for overseas shipments, to monitoring vessel bookings, to tracing each and every railcar to prepare for loading, Amy’s attention to detail and commitment to providing top-notch service makes her an invaluable part of the team. She also keeps our customers updated with accurate and timely information and prepares critical reports to ensure everything is on track. When asked what she loves most about working at Premium Peanut, Amy said, “My favorite part about working for Premium is the sense of family. I feel like Premium genuinely cares about us and values the work we do for the company. I also feel like teamwork is a vital part as we come together and help each other out to ensure our jobs are done efficiently. Premium has been great to me and I look forward to working here for a long time.” Outside of work, Amy is a proud mother of two, Shayne (20) and Jaci (17). ?? Staff Spotlight ?? Meet Herman Sutton! Herman serves as Premium Peanut’s Purchasing Assistant and has been with the company for seven years. Herman’s role is critical in supporting the functions of the entire business, as he ensures that procurement and distribution happens effectively and efficiently. He is a team player and is always willing to assist in areas that need additional support, from the seed treatment facility to shipping. Herman says that he has enjoyed being able to learn new things, especially expanding his knowledge in accounting, as well as the peanut industry in general. Additionally, one of the things he loves most about working for Premium Peanut is that it allows him the flexibility for a good work-life balance to be a part of his children’s lives. ?? Staff Spotlight ?? Meet Kimberly Braswell! Kimberly serves as the Maintenance Scheduler for Premium Peanut. She has been with our company since July 2022 and has been working in the peanut industry for over 13 years. In her role, Kimberly oversees the scheduling of work orders and tasks for the maintenance team, ensuring that our plant is well maintained and functions efficiently. She is responsible for documenting everything and building a database for each asset, overseeing the parts room to ensure that necessary parts and supplies are available for daily operations. She works closely with the maintenance team and contractors to provide support and ensure they have the parts and tools required for safe and effective work. Kimberly’s role encompasses so much and touches every aspect of our shelling facility – she is a safeguard, champion, and preserver of safety, efficiency, and productivity. When asked about her experience working at Premium Peanut, Kimberly stated, “What I like most about working at Premium Peanut is that it feels like family. From my first day, I was welcomed with open arms. Everyone works well together and pushes each other to succeed. I am grateful for the opportunity that Premium Peanut has given me to utilize my knowledge and skills as a Maintenance Planner. ?? Staff Spotlight ?? Meet Matthew Adams, Premium Peanut’s Oil Plant Superintendent! Matthew has been with our company since September 2015 and has been an integral part of our team from the beginning. In Matthew’s role as the Oil Plant Superintendent, he oversees the oil plant’s day-to-day operations, budgeting, logistics, and also tracks the plant’s maintenance. He leads a team of highly qualified employees and ensures quality control measures are in place and performed daily. His role is critical to our company’s success. Matthew stated, “Being part of a company that we have built from the ground up is incredibly rewarding. Our team at Premium Peanut strives to move as one, in the same direction.” He also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to grow and develop as an employee and as a leader in the company.
