Happy Halloween from all of us at?Premier Nutrition, where we take Halloween seriously. Our “friendly” decoration and costume contest is for bragging rights only, but apparently, those bragging rights are worth a lot! The Marketing Department turned into Mario Kart, the Research and Innovation Team became a Parisian boulevard, Operations Planning transformed into SpongeBob’s?Bikini Bottom with Jelly Fish and Krabby Patties, the People Team was Harry Potter’s world, and of course, the Accounting Team showed up as bank robbers. And that list doesn’t even include everyone, so apologies for those we left off, although we’d be remiss if we didn’t call out the Australian Breakdancing Trio who shared their fabulous moves. We usually ring the bell in our office, but this week we’re ringing the New York Stock Exchange closing bell to celebrate five years since BellRing Brands (Premier Nutrition’s parent company) went public in 2019. It’s been a busy five years. Our net sales grew from $854 million to $1.9 billion in the most recently reported twelve month period. Premier Protein became the #1 ready-to-drink protein and convenient nutrition brand, and Dymatize is now the #1 Hydrolyzed Protein Powder. Through it all, we’ve continued developing our amazing people-first culture focused on empowering our employees to do the best work of their lives, while supporting our mission of Changing Lives with Good Energy. We’re beyond awestruck to have had Steve Kerr host our latest all-company Builders’ Workshop in front of a packed house. Who better to provide advice on leadership and team building than the coach of both the NBA Championship-winning Golden State Warriors and the 2024?Gold Medal winning U.S. Olympic basketball team? PNC/BRBR CEO Darcy Horn Davenport led the conversation with Coach Kerr at our Emeryville HQ, which was based on questions from PNC team members. The discussion ranged from managing high-performing teams and building a first-class culture to giving and receiving feedback, as well as questions about Coach Kerr’s journey from player to coach. It was amazing to hear Coach Kerr describe how well our values align, especially our shared commitment to paying it forward within our community and the world. We’re excited to share the “scoop” on Premier Protein’s National Ice Cream Day celebration last month. Premier Protein hosted a pop-up protein ice cream shop in New York City, serving over 4,800 scoops of protein-packed ice cream made with our shakes. A big “Ring the Bell” to Premier Protein’s Brand Manager, Hannah Deixler, who led the marketing behind this fun event. As a culture-driven, fast-growing company, our Talent Acquisition (TA) team has the big task of ensuring we’re staffed with the right people to support our growth AND nurture our people-first culture. During our last all-company “Protein Boost” meeting we were excited to “Ring the Bell” to celebrate the TA team’s achievement of doubling their previous monthly hiring record. Steve McElhaney, who founded our TA team 6 years ago and now oversees it, gave a big shout-out to Tamara Flaherty-Igbineweka, Diana Solares, Jennifer L., Jenni Grubbs, and Jorge Wynne. Collectively, they focus on the total candidate-to-employee experience, screening candidates, developing and guiding hiring teams, and onboarding new hires through training and events. They also implement best practices to assist hiring managers in making thoughtful and unbiased hiring decisions. Thanks to everyone on our hiring team for all their hard work, as well as to everyone else at PNC who assists in getting new hires up and running.
