In recognition of Veterans Day, Pre-K 4 SA proudly hosted a breakfast for 81 veteran staff and families, honoring their dedication and sacrifices. It was a meaningful time to connect, share stories, and express our gratitude for their service. This event also highlighted our partnership with JBSA, which continues to strengthen our commitment to military families in our community. At the 6th Annual Pre-K 4 SA Family Reunion, over 3,200 families, staff, and alumni, gathered at Morgan's Wonderland for a day of celebration and connection. We’re pleased to announce that our young learners have chosen the Bexar County Family Justice Center (BCFJC) as this year’s Gracias San Antonio election winner. This collaborative organization provides critical, coordinated services to victims of domestic violence by uniting advocates, counselors, and other partners to empower survivors and their families. This choice reflects the empathy and civic values our children are developing, reinforcing Pre-K 4 SA’s commitment to fostering active, caring community members. The Professional Learning: Early Learning Coaching session gathered a diverse group of professionals dedicated to strengthening early childhood education. This Year 1 cohort features Pre-K 4 SA instructional specialists, master teachers, and behavior specialists, as well as child development center directors who are a part of the Early Learning Shared Service Alliance, and specialists from the Brighton Center and Essence Preparatory. Cultural traditions play a special role in fostering community and connection. The Gardendale Early Learning Program Art Club recently crafted a beautiful Ofrenda for the “A Day to Remember” event, honoring Día de los Muertos. Our South Center classes had an engaging Fire Prevention Week thanks to a visit from Fire Station #29. Experiences like these build foundational safety skills in young children while inspiring respect for our local firefighters’ role in the community.
