Pre-K 4 SA is helping families open the door to possibilities with a seamless pathway from pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade at Gardendale Early Learning Program. Thanks to a continued partnership with Edgewood ISD, Gardendale offers a supportive and engaging academic environment where children thrive and families feel confident about the transition into elementary school. A few weeks ago, Pre-K 4 SA, in partnership with H-E-B and the San Antonio Food Bank, distributed more than 2,000 food and produce bags to families ahead of Spring Break. These bags were filled with nutritious pantry staples and locally sourced produce—helping ensure children remain nourished while away from the classroom. Supporting our Pre-K 4 SA children includes supporting the entire family. We’re grateful for partners who work with us to uplift San Antonio communities in tangible ways. ?? H-E-B Newsroom

At Pre-K 4 SA, we embrace the Sí Se Puede spirit that Cesar Chavez championed, striving to overcome inequities and uplift our community through early childhood education. We invite families, staff, and supporters to march with us as we stand in solidarity for a stronger, more equitable future. ?? It was incredible to see so many professionals eager to contribute to early childhood education and shape the future of young learners. We had over 200 applicants come out to explore the opportunities available and we can't wait to have them join us for our 2025-26 school year. Community, health, and movement come together at Síclovía.??♂???♀? On Sunday, March 23, from 10 AM - 2 PM, the YMCA of Greater San Antonio will transform Broadway into a car-free street festival designed to encourage fitness, play, and community engagement. This free, family-friendly event provides a safe space for everyone to explore San Antonio in an active way—whether that’s through walking, biking, exercise classes, or enjoying local businesses and organizations. We asked our team, "What does Black History Month mean to you?" and Charnise Johnson, Administrative Assistant, shared her perspective: ?? “A melanated life is all I know as every month is Black History Month. Malcolm X, Nelson Mandela, and Harriet Tubman are household names during this month; but what about the unspoken forerunners like Judy Reed, Matthew Henson, Princess Sophia Charlotte, Dr. Rebecca Lee Crumpler, James Derham, or Max Robinson? The contributing parties of the past help shape and cultivate the opportunities for the parties of the future.
