? ? Superior craftsmanship alert ? ? Digital wallcovering installation is challenging because it requires precise alignment of each panel to ensure a seamless image and avoid visible joints. Every panel must be installed with exact accuracy, as even a slight misalignment can disrupt the overall look, particularly when dealing with intricate or large-scale designs. In addition, digital wallcoverings are often printed on delicate materials that require careful handling to prevent damage, and high-quality adhesives are essential to prevent bubbles, peeling, or other issues over time. The complex patterns and unique finishes also demand a steady hand and experienced craftsmanship to deliver a flawless final product, as seen in our recently completed project - 899 North Capitol Street!

Congratulations to VMDO Architects for being recognized by AIA VA for the Stead Park Recreation Center! It's a beautiful project that will create many opportunities for our DC community. Precision was pleased to be a part of the team!
We are excited to share that Stead Park Recreation Center has been awarded an AIA Virginia Award of Honor in the Architecture category. Set to become the first net-zero energy community center in Washington, DC, the project navigates a tight, urban site to provide holistic community programming for all ages. Jury comments: “The jury unanimously found this project elegant, handsome, and thoughtful. We discussed its beautiful proportions and its strong, clear diagram. The net-zero aspect was also very well appreciated. One juror called this project the one true Home Run in the competition, leaving the group with very little need to spend much time reviewing it beyond accolades and appreciation.” Thank you to AIA Virginia for this prestigious honor amongst such talented peers, and to DC Department of General Services and DC Department of Parks and Recreation for spearheading this special project! After much anticipation, Gilbane has completed the Health Professions building at Towson University's (TU) College of Health Professions, which now serves as an inviting community beacon for a new cluster of academic learning spaces. A dedication ceremony was held on September 12, led by Lisa Plowfield, Dean of the College of Health Professions, with remarks from TU President, Mark R. Ginsberg, and alum, Fran Soistman. The 240,000-square-foot building was designed to meet the college’s focus and value on interprofessional practice as departments and faculty are integrated among one another further enhancing collaboration and cross-disciplinary research. Health professions education and practice is supported by a centrally located, stunning, state-of-the-art, high-tech auditorium for collaboration and education.
