To put it in perspective, that’s enough bottles to fill the internal volume of the Statue of Liberty about 15 times! Together with our valued customers, we’re making a significant impact. #TeamSpotlight ?Meet Carlos Zegarra, a Peruvian native who embodies the essence of family and dedication. For 22 years, he has called the United States home. He lives in Paterson, N.J. and before arriving in the U.S., he was a machine operator and driver. He has one son and two daughters who live nearby in Clifton, N.J. His fatherly pride extends to five grandchildren who fill his heart with joy. As a bridge to his roots, Carlos enjoys cooking. He loves to prepare traditional Peruvian feasts, delighting his loved ones with dishes like Papa a la Huancaina, which are Potatoes in a Creamy Peruvian Cheese and Chili Sauce. Amidst his bustling life, soccer offers respite. His favorite team, Barcelona Football Club, provides moments of pure joy! From his humble beginnings to his cherished role as a family man, Carlos’ journey is a testament to resilience and the enduring power of family.

In light of the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, which has tragically claimed over 200 lives across the Carolinas, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee, communities are struggling to recover. Among those affected are two of our own Precision Textiles employees and their families in hard-hit Asheville, North Carolina and a third whose family is in Florida. As part of our annual October philanthropy efforts, Precision Textiles has made an initial donation to CARE, a remarkable organization which provides emergency cash, food, health supplies, shelter and most importantly hope to families in need. But we’re not stopping there. We are also organizing opportunities for our employees to get involved and contribute to relief efforts in meaningful ways. Together we can make a difference and help these communities get back on their feet. Huge congratulations to our very own Maria Cruz who has just completed the 2024 TCS Sydney Marathon on September 15th, running across the iconic Sydney Harbor Bridge and finishing strong at the breathtaking Sydney Opera House! Not only did she conquer this epic race, but Maria also earned her place in the Abbott World Marathon Majors Age Group Championship, adding to her impressive record of 23 marathons around the globe. The smaller medal she is wearing celebrates her Sydney marathon finish, while the larger one represents her remarkable Abbot championship achievement. And she’s not stopping there—Maria’s next challenge is the Valencia Marathon in Spain in December! We’re in awe of her dedication and unstoppable spirit! Way to go, Maria!
