In addition, Australia possesses the largest economic resource of iron ore, accounting for 29% of the world's total in both crude ore and contained iron, compared to Brazil's 18% (20% in contained iron) and Russia's 14%. Export-wise, Australia supplies nearly half of the world's iron ore, primarily shipping to China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and India. Western Australia is the epicenter of this mining activity, with 98% of the nation's iron ore reserves concentrated in the region. Most of the significant iron ore projects are located in the Pilbara region in the north of the state. As a veteran owned business, today PMA's Samuel Siebenaler and Kelly Ward were invited to attend the "Boots to Businesses: Reboot" class put on by the U.S. Small Business Administration's Veterans Business Outreach Center. The class shared information and stories about entrepreneurship, including on business planning, financing, support resources and networking with local veteran entrepreneurs. Only one wisecrack was made about the USMC veterans eating crayons.
