Since 1993, Precision Products has been a trusted provider of high-precision parts for critical applications. Beyond machining parts, we also service power transmission devices like gearboxes. Given that gearboxes often drive large machinery where downtime is critical, long shutdowns are not an option. Unlike many out-of-state gearbox rebuilders, Precision Products is local in Dalton, GA. We offer fast pickup to minimize your downtime, typically collecting damaged gearboxes within 2-4 hours, depending on your location. This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Once we pick up your gearbox, our skilled machinists and engineers will determine the best way to get you back into production. We service a wide range of gearboxes up to 900kW. Using advanced metallurgical analysis tools, we test every shaft and gear to ensure any replacements meet OEM quality and hardness standards. We offer replacement gears up to 102” in diameter and can heat treat or carburize them as needed to ensure long gear life. We also provide ground gears when necessary or a class 10 finish on non-ground gears to ensure smooth operation. As a full-service machine shop, we can address any other issues needed to restore proper operation, including shafts, bearings, and housing repairs. Precision Products always uses SKF bearings and dual lip Viton seals when available. We also have access to other high quality bearings such as NSK and Timken. When your operation demands a fast turn around, count on PPI to get you back up and running FAST. When working under emergency situations we can usually rebuild a typical gearbox in 5-7 days when no gears are involved, and 6-14 days when gears are required. We also offer new replacement gearboxes from four major manufacturers. When you have a situation that requires a new gearbox, let one of our experienced sales engineers assist you. Our team is on call 24-7 and we specialize in keeping you in operation. When you see new concrete being placed here at Precision Products it can only mean one thing. PPI is proud to announce the installation of another new CNC machining center. This one is a Mazak FJV 35/80E, vertical 4-Axis machining center. The new Mazak represents the largest machining center in our company’s history. This innovative addition represents a significant leap forward in our manufacturing capabilities and oversize part capacity, allowing us to better serve our clients with enhanced precision and efficiency. The CNC Mazak FJV 35/80 is equipped with a high-torque and high-speed spindle to make machining large and difficult parts easy. The double column machine also features “Ai Thermal Shield” and ball screw core cooling for the best possible stability and precision on long runs where heat generation is a potential problem. This investment highlights our ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in the precision manufacturing industry to the local economy and to supporting the USA warfighters. The new machining center will be fully operational in November 2024, and we look forward to the improved capabilities it will bring to our valued customers.
