Very happy to know that the abstract describing A&G Pharmaceutical's prospective study to measure serum progranulin in relation with RECIST criteria in stage 4 breast cancer patients has been accepted for poster presentation at the 2024 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. More to come about this later. Precision Antibody is happy to have assisted in developing the Progranulin sandwich ELISA used in this study.

Precision Antibody is congratulating Marquez et al for the publication of their article on the proteomics analysis of proteins associated with PTGFRN. This study has the interesting feature of having used two approaches: one to determine immunoprecipitated with a fully human anti-PTGFRN antibody, the other was to perform proteomics profiling of human epidermoid carcinoma A431 cells where PTGFRN had been inhibited by shRNA compared to control. The anti-PTGFRN antibody was developed by the Precision Antibody team by immunizing fully human transgenic mice with human PTGFRN. #antibodytherapeutics #proteomics #pathways #antibodydiscovery #antibody
I'm happy to announce that another one of my manuscripts has been published to ACS Omega! This was a first-of-its-kind study using mass spectrometric methods to examine 1) the proteome of cancer cells before and after knockout of the cell-surface protein PTGFRN, as well as 2) a global approach to assessing protein-protein interactions between PTGFRN and its interactome. The information from both arms of the study is then used to predict cellular pathways that are both affected by PTGFRN expression, and pathways that PTGFRN itself is directly involved in. Many thanks to my co-authors Ginette Serrero , Jun Hayashi , Maureen Kane, and Mehari Weldemariam for their help with this project!
