Yesterday, we had the great honor of celebrating the 249th Birthday of the #UnitedStatesMarineCorps. This annual tradition allows us the opportunity to commemorate the legacy of the Marines with our Precise Team far and wide.
President and Chief Executive Officer of Precise Systems, Scott Pfister opened the ceremony with moving remarks about the significance of the USMC Birthday and what it means to the culture of Precise. Senior Vice President, Lindy Kirkland, narrated the ceremony as we viewed the annual Commandant’s Message, immediately followed by the traditional cake-cutting ceremony. Our very own Denis “Ollie” Oliverio cut the cake with a Marine Officer’s sword and handed the first piece to our Guest of Honor, Sgt. Major Jacob Rozelle. The second piece was given to Barry Dube, the Oldest Marine on our local Precise Team, which he in turn passed to Devin Ruiz, who is our Youngest Marine. This passing of cake signifies the passing of experience and knowledge from the old to the young of the Corps.
As our organization has grown, we have ensured that the entirety of our Precise family can participate in significant events like this one virtually. We also honored Michael Fitzsimmons, our Oldest Marine in the company, who joined us virtually from Florida!
Our birthday celebration concluded with a heartfelt rendition of “The Marines’ Hymn”, played by Major Jim “Pipes” Pritchard on traditional Scottish bagpipes. Scott closed out our ceremony by sharing what the Marine Corps means to him personally, as well as how our work supports, protects, and strengthens our warfighters each and every day.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, both in-person and virtually, to celebrate this special occasion. Happy birthday, Marines! Semper Fidelis! #TheFewTheProud #USMC #GoPrecise
