We are thrilled to share that Pre-Medical Students Making a Difference at Georgia State University (MSMD) has been selected by Youth Service America (YSA) and Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation as a 2025 YSA Sodexo Stop Hunger Innovation Grantee! With this support, we are launching Project FEED (Food Equity and Efficient Delivery), a mobile food distribution and delivery initiative aimed at improving food access for underserved families in Atlanta. Through our mentor Nida I. Shaikh, PhD, RD, we established a strategic partnership with CHRIS 180, where we will: ? Expand food distribution efforts by mobilizing volunteers at The SPOT and other local hubs. ? Connect with local food suppliers & nonprofits like Dames Doing Good to deliver food to families facing logistical barriers. ? Foster sustainable community partnerships to ensure continued support, volunteer engagement, and funding for food storage and transportation. This initiative aligns with our mission to translate passion into action by addressing systemic food insecurity with tangible solutions. Huge thanks to Youth Service America (YSA) and the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation for empowering youth-driven initiatives like ours! ?? We welcome collaborations, volunteers, and supporters to join us in this journey! Let’s make a lasting impact together. ?? Meet our grantees: Renée Solange Abouem, Stephanie Boahen, Chibuike Imebuogu, Jasmine Kaur, and Ogechi Olisa. #YouthService #YouthChangemakers #StopHunger #GYSD25 #GYSD2025 #GlobalYouthServiceDay #SparkChangeOnGYSD #PROJECTFEED

  • Thrilled to share that a group of 10 MSMD students from Georgia State University had the incredible opportunity to attend the Future Physician 4 Change (FP4C) convention in Washington, DC! At FP4C, we learned how to advocate for our future patients and connected with passionate medical and medical and premedical students from around the globe. A huge thank you to Georgia State University and their student engagement office for their continuous support in making this experience possible. Your dedication to our growth and education is invaluable!
