One of the many highlights of our 2024 Integrated Report is the achievement of a global thermal substitution rate of 32.1%, with 18.2% coming from biomass waste, which is considered climate neutral. Initiatives like this reinforce the evolution of our decarbonization strategy. From 1990 (the base year for measurements) to 2024, we recorded a 27.9% reduction in CO2 emissions. Today, we have released our 2024 financial results! ?? We ended last year with a record-high in annual operating results and margin growth, supported by our geographic and product diversification. Our global net revenue in the year totaled R$26.6 billion, on par with 2023, excluding changes in foreign exchange rates. This is primarily a result of our positive performance in European and Asian countries and stability in Brazil. Our cement sales volume in 2024 totaled 35.4 million tonnes, up 1% compared to the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) was R$6.5 billion, a record high for the second consecutive year and up 9% compared to 2023, in local currency. The improvement in operating results can be attributed to our balanced portfolio (especially in our operations in Europe and Asia), operational efficiency combined with lower variable costs in most regions, and the positive impact of new businesses, in addition to gains resulting from the sale of non-strategic assets in North America and Uruguay. The EBITDA margin in the year was 24%, 2 percentage points higher than 2023. In 2024, our investments (Capex) totaled R$3.2 billion, up 38% compared to 2023. This increase is in line with our global strategy of investments in decarbonization, competitiveness, and new businesses. Regarding the R$5 billion investment plan announced in early 2024 to strengthen our operations in Brazil, R$1.9 billion is already being executed, including a comprehensive program of structural growth and competitiveness through 2028. We continued to advance our program of modernization, competitiveness, and acceleration of new businesses, as well as the implementation of our decarbonization and sustainability strategy, aligned with our 2030 public commitments. ?? ? The Prairie Aggregates team in Indiana was recently honored with multiple awards at the IMAA Conference for their outstanding efforts in environmental excellence and safety. The Waverly Pit earned the 5-Year Safety Award, while the Bloomfield Pit was honored with the 13-Year Safety Award. Both teams achieved these milestones by maintaining a perfect record with no reportable incidents to MSHA, demonstrating their commitment to a safe and secure work environment. In addition to safety, the Waverly Pit and Bloomfield Pit also received the Environmental Excellence in Mining Award for their dedication to protecting the environment. The team’s efforts to comply with federal, state, and local regulations concerning the protection of our air, water, and land have played a key role in the site’s recognition, along with maintaining clean facilities, reducing fugitive dust, and prioritizing environmental training. These awards are a testament to the hard work and pride the teams take in maintaining high standards for both safety and environmental responsibility.
