?? Exciting News from PRAGMA! ??
PRAGMA is thrilled to announce that one of our founding members, TxPipe, has successfully completed the onboarding of Amaru P2P component into Catalyst Fund 12! This milestone is a testament to our commitment to supporting node diversity, enhancing network resilience, and fostering innovative solutions to existing challenges.
?? About Amaru: Amaru is set to be a full Cardano node built in Rust, representing a significant leap forward in blockchain technology. This ambitious project comprises multiple workstreams, focusing on the development of a robust P2P (peer-to-peer) networking stack, a critical component for optimizing block and transaction propagation.
?? Contributing to the Ecosystem: A key deliverable of this project is the development of a new Rust library that implements a P2P networking layer compatible with Cardano. This library will be available for use not only by Amaru but also by any other Rust-based application requiring P2P networking capabilities.
?? Key Focus Areas:
* Peer Discovery: A mechanism to establish which peers are participating in the network without relying on a static topology.
* Outbound Routing: A component that manages the outbound traffic to peers using different heuristics with the goal of optimizing overall network efficiency.
* Inbound Monitoring: A component that is in charge of monitoring inbound connections with the goal of optimizing efficiency and to mitigate abuses / attacks.
This initiative is poised to significantly enhance the overall network performance, paving the way for more resilient and efficient blockchain operations. We are incredibly proud to support TxPipe and the Amaru project as they drive forward the boundaries of what’s possible in the blockchain space.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting journey!
