    One of the most common questions we get asked is:"I have an air purifier indoors, but what happens when I go outside?" When it comes to air pollution, the only thing that truly matters for our health is our total exposure time. Humans spend about 90% of their time indoors—roughly 21.6 hours per day—and having clean air inside gives our respiratory system a much-needed break. Our lungs can expand and contract freely.     I recently experienced something mind-blowing—the Tesla of clean air! When I first heard about Praan , I had my doubts. But after seeing it myself, I'm convinced. We often talk about pollution in cities, but factory conditions can be extreme—with AQI levels hitting 100,000, far beyond anything imaginable. Millions of workers in India face these dangerous environments daily, producing everything from steel and pharmaceuticals to spices and pigments. At Praan, I stepped into a chamber simulating factory air at 10,000 AQI. It was literally a thick cloud. Yet, minutes after activating their MK2 purification system, the AQI dropped below 100, the air cleared completely, and valuable materials were reclaimed! Traditional filters clog up fast, but Praan’s tech uses NO filters, handling extreme pollution effortlessly while recovering costly raw materials usually lost as dust. Even better, they've built an AI-driven solution creating digital twins of factories, resolving pollution issues in 24 hours instead of months.     I had the privilege of experiencing the future of clean air technology at Praan's factory. The Hive air purifier is transforming how India addresses one of its most pressing health crises - air pollution. With 15 of the world's 20 most polluted cities in India and pollution levels 7-13 times above WHO safety standards, our indoor air quality has become a silent threat affecting millions. Traditional purifiers haven't seen widespread adoption, but Praan is changing the narrative by making these devices as essential as air conditioners. What impressed me most was witnessing their technology tested at an astonishing 11,000 AQI (Delhi's worst days hit around 1,200). Within minutes, the dense cloud of pollutants in their test chamber was completely eliminated thanks to their medical-grade H14 filtration capturing 99.9% of particles. The Hive's intelligent system maps rooms in 3D, creating customized purification strategies, while their industrial version handles up to 100,000 AQI in factories. Built with aerospace-grade aluminum and 90% locally sourced materials, this proudly Indian innovation is bringing factory-level purification technology into our homes. In a country where air quality significantly impacts life expectancy, solutions like this aren't luxuries – they're essential tools for wellbeing.     "In high school, I was part of the National Cadet Corps, where we visited Indian Air Force bases and explored military aircraft. Watching gliders take flight sparked my passion for STEM—not just to engineer, but to innovate. College, however, was different. Sitting in classrooms felt stifling, and my attendance barely touched 3%. But then I found the Formula Student team—a place where learning meant building. I wasn’t limited to electrical engineering; I worked on aerodynamics, manufacturing, and team dynamics. Testing our car’s aerodynamics in the same facility that had just tested the BrahMos missile was surreal. Competing globally, our work was reviewed by Tesla, SpaceX, and Daimler engineers. That was real learning. Praan had always stood out. Classmates who worked there spoke of its rapid innovation and clear mission. But I initially took a job at a defence company, as that initially felt larger. However, each evening, I’d leave work feeling something was missing—then I’d see my friends at Praan pushing boundaries at 2 AM, driven by purpose, and I knew I had to be there. I reached out to Angad on LinkedIn, willing to take on any role. The day I left my defence job, I showed up at Praan’s office—right into organized chaos. Everyone, from designers to accountants, was working to manufacture HIVE for its CES 2023 launch. My first day lasted 36 hours. Alongside this, MKII, the filterless industrial air purifier, was in the works—a brutal engineering challenge that took six months of 18-hour days and four fires in our test facility to stabilize. Our first deployment was in a carbon black factory, where we had to assemble on-site in extreme conditions. Next, at a steel plant with PM levels at 100,000 -100x worse than Delhi. At Praan, no two days are the same. One hour, I’m with MKII, another with HIVE, Carbon Capture, AI team, customers or future products. But what excites me most now is building the machine that builds the machine—creating a system to nurture world-class engineers.
