??Celebrating Black History Month at Powin?? This February, we had an incredible time honoring Black History Month at #Powin! Our team hosted four virtual lunch and learns, exploring topics like virtual museum tours, featured documentaries, and the story of Clotilda, the last known slave ship. We also gathered in person for a Creole-inspired meal and an insightful talk from Taylor Stewart of the Oregon Remembrance Project. Plus, we kept the momentum going with virtual BHM Bingo and weekly highlights that helped us learn more about Black history. A big thank you to Jabo Johnigan, Angela Smith, GSP, OSHA Outreach Trainer, Adam Weston, and Roshan Raines-Yilma for organizing these meaningful events, and to Chandra Brown-Stewart, co-founder of the Society of Clotilda, for sharing her knowledge with us. ?????????We’re proud to celebrate, learn, and grow together.
