PROUD OF OUR SUSTAINABLE FUTURE. We’re excited to announce that, with guidance from premier carbon-accounting firm RyeStrategy, we’ve fully offset our 2023 operational and value-chain footprint, and are currently working to address and mitigate our 2024 #carbonemissions. Our offsets allowed us to contribute to 3 global projects: Ceará Renewable Energy Project in Brazil, Improved Cookstoves for Rural Zambia, and the Akbuk Wind Farm Project, in Turkey. To further commit to our sustainability journey, we introduced a Green Committee last year to work on mitigation strategies and publicly report our emissions. Plus, we launched an annual staff volunteer day as part of our pledge to corporate social responsibility. Each staff member picked an organization of their choice and spent the day helping—from food banks to local conservation projects. Rewarding and fun! We’d love to hear about your company’s sustainability actions! #carbonfootprintreduction #sustainablebusiness

Amanda’s story is a great example of speaking up and solving problems with compassion.
In a recent PowerSpeaking Live!, “Amplify Your Voice: Women Communicating for Impact,” I asked panelist Amanda Bailey from Activision to share a personal story about using communication to overcome a challenge. Listen to her vulnerable yet masterful approach to communicating with a former leader who had a habit of interrupting and talking over her . . . I’d love to hear any experiences you have to share! Great wisdom on meeting management from Stephanie Moore and Chris Williams!
People have talked about how to run more effective meetings for decades. So why do we continue to suffer through so many rambling, unfocused, unproductive meetings? “Because we don’t put common sense into common practice,” said panelist Stephanie Moore in a recent PowerSpeaking Live! And it’s so true! Stephanie and panelist Chris Williams shared a few examples of putting common sense into practice in this Live! clip. Listen to them talk about the importance of blocking time on the agenda for an opening and a close; identifying not just your topic, but also the desired outcome; and thinking through the conversational process you’ll use to achieve the goal. I’d love to hear any tips you have! Watch, https://lnkd.in/g546vhSQ, or listen, https://lnkd.in/daytEEtu, to the full Live! episode, “Make Your Meetings Count,” for more insights and advice. #meetingmanagement

Want to increase the odds that the meeting you want to organize will be a success? Stephanie Moore, who developed our Achieving Meeting Excellence workshop, https://lnkd.in/gWW4dXzX, offers some great advice.
Getting ready to invite people to a meeting? Before you hit that send button, make sure you’ve thought through the what, why, and how. Effective, productive meetings start with smart preparation. During last month’s PowerSpeaking Live!, Stephanie Moore, PowerSpeaking, Inc. Facilitator and Coach, shared her top tips. A few highlights: 🔹 Take the time to clearly define the purpose and the desired outcome of the meeting. And communicate those in advance to the people you’re inviting. 🔹 Really think about who you’re inviting and why. Err on the side of inviting only those people who need to be involved to accomplish your meeting’s goal, and who have a direct connection to the topic. 🔹 Before you meet, identify someone as the timekeeper and note-taker, provided you’re not relying solely on AI. That leaves you free to facilitate the meeting well. Do you have any tips for meeting preparation that have served you well? #meetingmanagement
