The Powers & Company team had a fantastic time learning, networking and connecting with friends at the Women in Ophthalmology meeting. Founder Carey Powers had the opportunity to chat with Healio about her favorite aspects of the WIO meeting, where she highlighted the emphasis on advancing efforts in global ophthalmology.?Carey put the spotlight on two WIO members who are having a huge impact on bringing world-class ophthalmology to underserved areas in the world, including Dr. Cathleen McCabe, founder of Sight for Life, and Dr. Susan MacDonald, founder of Eye Corps.?Both organizations were selected as 2024 partners for Powers & Company’s philanthropic initiative, Lion’s Share, our commitment to donate 5% of proceeds to non-profit organizations dedicated to advancing #healthequity. ?
