Last week several of our PowerLight crew successfully attached our laser power beaming receiver to a Kraus Hamdani Aerospace, Inc. drone, and we are now looking forward to our first test flight next week at KHA's Reno location. This is an exciting next step in PowerLight's mission to deliver mission-critical power to hard to reach places. More to come on this seminal project! #powerbeaming #lasers #drone

PowerLight's optical power technology delivers electric power where and when needed.
关于我们
Since our foundation 15 years ago as LaserMotive, PowerLight has set three world records for beaming power over light, won two NASA government awards and advanced five generations of technology systems. We are the first and only team to develop and viable technology platform that demonstrated transfer of 400 watts over 1 kilometer. Since then we have received validation from industry-leading companies and government labs, and we are the globally recognized leader in long-distance power beaming.

Thanks for sharing, Paul Stevens. Power beaming is set to take HAPS to the next level and PowerLight is excited to be at the forefront of this technology.
In recent years HAPS (High Altitude Platform Stations) have garnered increasing interest in commercial and defense applications. They hold great promise for many applications, especially continuous and far-reaching communication transmission, however there is still some ways to go before HAPS will be able to accomplish the highly ambitious objectives expected of them. Obstacles to these goals include navigating an extremely tight “energy budget” to stay in the stratosphere, providing enough onboard power for payload devices, and avoiding damage to their delicate structures, especially during takeoff and landing. ? Sitting down with Paul Stevens of Voltitude, Ltd, we discussed the current status of HAPS, their obstacles, and how PowerLight and laser power beaming may prove invaluable in the next HAPS frontier. #HAPS #PowerBeaming HAPS Alliance, Tom Nugent, Jr.

We had a great turnout for our presentations on everything power beaming during the SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, Photonics West 2025 expo. Great job Tom Nugent, Jr., Mitchell A. Kirby, and Joe Summers for representing our company and industry. #photonicswest #powerbeaming #lasers

PowerLight will be taking the SPIE: The International Society for Optics and Photonics, Photonics West 2025 conference by storm at the end of this month. Be sure to be in attendance on Tuesday, January 28th to check out any one of the EIGHT presentations PowerLight will be hosting. Topics include our company's vast history using power beaming, safety concerns and subsequent design improvements during laser power beaming, utilizing power over fiber, and more. Check out their program for more information - we hope to see you there! #lasers #photonics #SPIE #PhotonicsWest

Welcome to the PowerLight team, Joseph Ryan Lemker. Ryan joins PowerLight as our newest mechanical engineer from the University of North Dakota. During his time at UND Ryan served as president of the Advanced Rocketry Club, where he used MATLAB and SolidWorks and led the club to national level competitions. He also comes to us with metal 3D printing experience and a personal patent acquired in 2017 at the age of 15. Welcome Ryan!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from PowerLight Technologies. Our annual power over fiber holiday demonstration is up and running keeping our inflatables, Christmas lights, and custom illuminated sign powered. Our employees also hosted our first gingerbread house decorating contest with some truly amazing entries. The first prize house even included a laser powered Santa sleigh! Enjoy the holiday season, and we'll see you for more big and exciting projects in the New Year.

A HUGE thank you to all of our PowerLight team members who generously donated $870?in cash donations, along with an abundance of physical gifts to provide an amazing Christmas for TWO local families this year. With their contributions, we were able to brighten the holidays for?two single-parent families?with a total of?nine children! PowerLight worked with Gifts of Hope and Kent Youth and Family Services to provide gifts for these families. Thank you again to all of our awesome team members!
