“Do you remember me?” That’s what Jerry asked our Powerback team at Ocean Springs when he walked back into the gym. Not only did he remind the team of his rehab journey, but he reignited why they became therapists—to change lives! A year earlier, Jerry faced major physical challenges after a traumatic diabetic coma, leaving him confused, weak, and needing help with basic daily tasks. He went from being fully independent to only managing 5 steps during his first physical therapy evaluation, with cognitive difficulties adding to the struggle. Thanks to his hard work and the dedicated physical, occupational, and speech therapists at Ocean Springs, Jerry slowly regained his strength and independence. By discharge, he scored perfect marks on mobility and daily activity tests. Now, he's set to inspire others by sharing his “therapy testimony” with current clients.
