Miu Miu nailed youth-focused luxury with its New Balance collab, creating limited-edition sneakers that influencers were posting everywhere. Plus, a more shoppable Instagram experience also helped lock in sales faster. Here’s What We’ve Been Up To Lately! ? As the year wraps up, we’re feeling extra motivated to finish strong and reach our goals. To do that, we knew we needed to get out of our WFH setup and connect with clients. Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been traveling all around the East Coast- going to client shoots, hosting workshops, going to networking events, and working in person as a team. Here’s a rundown of everything we’ve been up to these past weeks: Client Shoots: We’ve had the chance to work with three of our clients, capturing their creative ideas and telling their stories in new ways. From scouting locations to interviewing inspiring individuals, every moment with our clients is so worth it when we see the final product.. ?? Workshop at Boston College:? it’s always fulfilling to connect with students and exchange ideas. We walked away not just feeling inspired, but also with a new sense of excitement for each of the students we connected with. ?? Winchester Chamber Of Commerce Event:? We met with some inspiring business leaders and made tons of new connections at this event. One of our big goals this year was to get more comfortable with networking, and with each event we’ve attended, it’s started to feel more and more natural. #Cuse50: A trip to Syracuse gave us the chance to hear from alumni who are making big strides in their industries and who have turned Syracuse-born ideas into full-running businesses, some of which are Fortune 500 companies. It was an amazing reminder of the strength that comes from the alumni network and all of the opportunities that come from collaboration with one another! Reflecting on everything we’ve accomplished over these past couple of weeks, we’re feeling extremely proud and energized. We’ve got big plans for the final stretch of the year, and we’re excited to bring that same energy and dedication to every project we tackle. Last week was a bucket-list moment for us! We had the opportunity to host not one, but TWO amazing workshops with groups of passionate future entrepreneurs and marketers. ??? The first event of the week, Whitney Krayer and Phoebe Gullingsrud traveled to Boston College to connect with the Start@Shea for Entrepreneurship and the Marketing Academy for a session on turning your vision into a powerful brand. We talked about a range of things from finding your unique brand voice to actually mapping out steps to make those business dreams happen.? We wrapped up the workshop by giving everyone a tangible to-do list to help them sharpen up their LinkedIn profiles and start building their personal brands in a way that effectively stands out on social media. ???? Last month, our founder and CEO, Phoebe Gullingsrud, made a special trip back to Syracuse University to work with one of our amazing clients, Syracuse University - Martin J. Whitman School of Management. But she couldn’t visit without stopping at a key piece of POV’s journey-LaunchPad Syracuse University, where it all began! Phoebe led an incredible workshop for these business entrepreneurs, helping them build roadmaps and set clear business goals from a weekly, monthly, and yearly POV to move the needle forward. She gave insights into SEO, paid ads, and answered all their questions to help set them up for success! It was such a meaningful experience to give back to the place where POV’s journey began. Our team just saw the latest Fortune article about managers firing Gen-Z grads just months after hiring them. As a Gen-Z-run digital marketing agency that older businesses actively out, I think it’s time we address this. We’ve all heard the stereotypes: Gen-Z is lazy, entitled, and glued to our phones. And sure, maybe we are glued to our phones (it’s our job but besides that), it’s also why we’re able to turn social media into successful story-telling content for brands. So why the disconnect? ?? We’ve tried it all when it comes to winning over other generations- here’s what works: Bring Value They Don’t Have ?? Your managers probably aren’t spending hours on TikTok or know how to be a trending voice on LinkedIn. But you do. Hone in on those skills, show how you can bring something they can’t, and ask for feedback to make sure they see your value. Outwork the Stereotype ??? It sucks we have to work harder to disprove stereotypes, but it has to be done. Show up early. Stay late. Go above and beyond to make life easier for your team. Work ethic isn’t dead in Gen-Z- we’re just showing it in new ways! Attitude Is Everything? Beyond working hard, being a genuine person still stands out. Smile, be kind, and offer help without being asked. Time and time again, a positive attitude will stand out even more than specific skills. Communicate Like an Adult ??? If something’s off, talk about it. If you’re lost, ask questions. No one expects you to have all the answers, but they do expect you to be open and communicate. The reality is, as Gen Z, we have a lot to offer. But, they’re missing the mark, we bring something unique to the table. We’re creative, adaptable, and we see things from new perspectives that bring value. We understand where culture is heading because we’re helping to shape it.
