Our student athletes have become state champions in cross country, track and field, tennis, wrestling, swimming, baseball and gymnastics. Each of our schools has been recognized by the state for either student growth on standardized tests or performance and achievement.

MSU Education students! PSD representatives will be attending the Fall 2024 Student Teaching/Residency District Networking Event! Session Description: Teacher candidates will have the opportunity to meet district personnel and learn more about districts and schools throughout the state in support of their career development. Hiring representatives from districts will share best practices and strategies when interviewing for teaching positions. Teacher candidates will participate in mock interview rotations with multiple districts to practice interviewing skills and receive feedback directly from district hiring representatives.

Step back in time with Traut Elementary Schools’s fourth graders! Dressed as knights, nobles, and villagers, students participated in a Medieval Festival at their school. In partnership with teachers and the parent community at Traut, students experienced a visit from Eleanor of Aquitaine, ?? a live falcon demonstration by the ROCKY MOUNTAIN RAPTOR PROGRAM, ?? javelin throwing and trying on medieval armor, ?? and a jousting demonstration from The Order of Epona. ?? Shoutout to Poudre High School IB Diploma senior Karen Newman, who presented her work at The Safe Routes to School National Conference! ?? Through her Creativity, activity, service (CAS) project, Newman conducted survey research with students who bike to PHS. Her research showed that biking is more than just a commute for many students, and addressed challenges student bikers face in the area. The CAS project is one of the three essential elements in the IB Diploma Programme, and Newman brought it to the next level with this opportunity to share her work and a teen perspective on a national stage. #PSDproud #WeAtPSD #SafeRoutesToSchool
