The Drexel Village project represents a bold step toward equitable development in Boston, transforming Lower Roxbury with 217 affordable housing units, multigenerational public open space, and community-driven commercial opportunities. Drexel Village, a project by BlueHub borrower Planning Office for Urban Affairs (POUA), has been approved by the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) to bring 217 new affordable homes to Roxbury’s Nubian Square. This development will also include childcare, a food pantry and community spaces, creating vital resources for local families. This project, which received a $1 million predevelopment loan from BlueHub, is part of the broader PLAN: Nubian Square initiative to revitalize Roxbury’s historic commercial district. The development will prioritize family-sized housing, with two-thirds of the units having two or more bedrooms, ensuring space for growing households. We are proud to support this community-driven effort to expand affordable housing and economic opportunity in Boston! ?? CEDAC joined Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities Secretary Augustus and Newton Mayor Ruthanne Fuller to mark the official opening of FamilyAid’s Family Navigation Center in West Newton, which converted a former nursing home into 42 units of emergency shelter.?? ? CEDAC was proud to support FamilyAid and this important project with a $300,000 predevelopment loan and $5 million in HIF funding. ? We also congratulate the Planning Office for Urban Affairs (POUA) for their incredible work as FamilyAid's development consultant on this endeavor.

We are so grateful for EOHLC's support of our St. Ann's Senior Village project in Wayland. St. Ann’s Senior Village will consist of 60 total units, all of which will be affordable to seniors earning less than 50 percent of Area Median Income (AMI), with 15 units further restricted for seniors earning less than 30 percent of AMI.
