In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, Potawatomi Ventures team members learned how to make dream catchers. Dream catchers are traditionally hung above sleeping areas to filter dreams. The intricate web??? is believed to capture negative dreams, allowing positive ones to pass through. Thank you Tina Baker, for teaching and inspiring us to craft our own unique dream catchers. It was a fun learning experience! #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #DreamCatchers

Potawatomi Ventures is grateful for opportunities to honor and appreciate the rich history and culture of Native American communities. We recently celebrated Native American Heritage Month by enjoying a delicious traditional meal prepared by Chef Jessica Pamonicutt from Ketapanen Kitchen. We also had the privilege of attending a traditional ceremony presented by the Indian Community School?. Thank you to all who made this possible. It was a moving and unforgettable experience. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth

Potawatomi Ventures volunteered with the Urban Ecology Center at Washington Park in Milwaukee. This initiative is part of the UEC's Land Management Program, where we focused on cutting down buckthorn, an invasive species, to support neighborhood revitalization efforts. Jacob Menore, Facilities Supervisor at PV, shared, "Growing up in the neighborhood, I never got to utilize the park. It was nice to come back and see the park as an adult and do something meaningful in my old neighborhood." #BrighterTogether #PotawatomiVenturesGivesBack

Yesterday, owners and developers of fireside MARKET gathered with Village of Slinger community members and officials to celebrate the groundbreaking of fireside MARKET, the first development of the 130-acre Merchant Village in Slinger, Wisconsin. As a food forward, modern market prioritizing meeting the needs of the community, fireside MARKET will become a gateway to the community, providing made-to-order, high-quality food and frictionless, technology-driven offerings. “We’re very excited to hit this milestone and look forward to opening Slinger’s fireside MARKET in the summer of 2025,” said David Lloveras, executive vice president of fireside MARKET. “As the inaugural business launching at Merchant Village, we’ll be an integral feature of this development, and of the Slinger community. We are confident this fireside MARKET will become a preferred gathering place for families, seniors and area travelers.” The Slinger fireside MARKET is developed by Sagewind Development, and construction will be managed by Greenfire Management Services, LLC. Along with fireside MARKET, all three organizations are our subsidiary companies, owned and operated by the Forest County Potawatomi Community. #BrighterTogether #firesideMARKET
