Dear Posto Community, After two incredible years of innovation, growth, and unwavering dedication, we have made the difficult decision to cease operations at Posto. (here our story: https://www.postocal.com) From the very beginning, our mission was to create a healthier, more positive social platform—one that could bring people back together in real life and stand as a beacon for all the real-life lovers out there, often hypnotised by the existing platforms. We secured over $250,000 in funding, developed a scalable product, won €30,000 at the Frankfurt School Accelerator, built a diverse remote team across four countries, developed relationships with artists and influencers to increase our visibility and finally reached thousands of users within the UC Berkeley campus in a short time. Despite these significant achievements, the landscape we aimed to change proved more impenetrable than we had anticipated. We are incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished. The journey with Posto has been driven by our deep commitment to making a meaningful impact on the world of social media. Despite our best efforts, the current climate of the fundraising industry, combined with the overwhelming power of multi-billion dollar competitors, has led us to this juncture. We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported us—our team, our users, our ambassadors, and our investors. Your belief in our mission and your trust in our capabilities, was a constant source of motivation, and we couldn’t have come this far without you. As we close this chapter, we remain hopeful for the future. The lessons learned and the relationships built during this journey will continue to inspire us as we move forward into new ventures. Frankfurt School Entrepreneurship Centre‘s Demo Day on 12 February was a huge success and showcased innovative startups, such as mylingua, Yumoso, Hayi ??, Rudy and ZeroEx, that presented diverse solutions. But only one won €30,000 for its real-life focused social media platform. Congratulations to Posto! Thanks to partners, mentors, FS alumnus Stefan Kempf and supporters for an inspiring Accelerator Winter '24! ??

Being part of the jury at the Frankfurt School's Demo Day last night was an absolute joy! With over 500 attendees from the startup ecosystem, the event was buzzing with energy, showcasing visionary founders and astute investors. A highlight for me was determining the winners alongside my fellow jurors. A huge congratulations to Posto who took home the top prize of €30,000 for their innovative approach to making social media serve real-life interactions. Also, kudos to mylingua for clinching the second place and a €20,000 prize with their innovative personalized language assistant, demonstrating the transformative power of technology in learning and communication. A massive thank you to Ram and the entire organizing team for an inspiring and flawlessly executed evening. And we can’t forget the outstanding keynote by Stefan Kempf from aifinyo, which added a profound layer of insight and inspiration to the event.
