Everything we shipped last week. ?? (spoiler: it's a long list) MAX AI ?? - You can now cancel generations in Max, which is handy if you want to shut him up when he goes wrong. Thanks to Georgiy for this PR. - Max can now read the docs, meaning he can now answer questions about PostHog more generally and help you find new ways to do things. - You can now chat to Max about session replays and he can help you find recordings that are relevant to your questions. PRODUCT ANALYTICS ?? - You can now add goal lines to trend insights, which is handy for tracking progress toward a goal - You can now apply custom date ranges to retention insights, which is useful for doing historic analysis over specific periods. This PR arrives thanks to Anirudh. SESSION REPLAY ?? - You can now indicate to others if you’ve watched a recording, so you don’t accidentally waste time by re-watching something you (or others) have already seen. Thanks, Paul! - Additionally, new filter options let you hide any recordings that you (or others) have already seen. Paul was on a roll this week, it seems. SDKs ?? - Phil has cut a new 1.0 release of the posthog-dotnet SDK, adding to our selection of libraries. - Joshua spotted an issue with how our Segment library was handling pageleave events, and fixed it DATA PIPELINES ???? - Following an incident with data pipelines this month, we’ve added the option to retry any failed runs. You can select failed runs in the Logs tab of each destination to access the retry option. - We’ve added a new pixel for Snapchat, giving you a way to directly track conversion events in PostHog. WEB ANALTICS ?? - Rafa added the option to sort web analytics table, among numerous other quality of life fixes. - New toggles for selecting domains and device type for analysis. This means you no longer need to use the `host` filter when you have multiple domains on the same project. FEATURE FLAGS ?? - We’re changing how quota limits work. It used to be that we’d continue serving flag updates even after you hit a limit, but from March 10th we’ll now stop this and send a limit warning instead. We’re getting in touch directly with anyone this will impact, so expect to hear more soon. ERROR TRACKING ???? - Alerts now work with the error tracking beta, enabling you to get updates about when errors occur, or when there’s a high frequency of exceptions.
关于我们
At PostHog, we're working to increase the number of successful products in the world. Until now, tools for building products have been fragmented. Product analytics, heatmaps, session recording, web analytics, feature flags, and A/B testing are all helpful, but no one wants to buy, send data to, and integrate multiple products. PostHog offers these tools (and more) in an integrated, open source platform which can be hosted in either the US or EU. Both versions are SOC2 certified, GDPR-ready, and HIPAA compliant. We started PostHog during Y Combinator's W20 cohort and had the most successful B2B software launch on Hacker News since 2012 - with a product that was just 4 weeks old. With over 100,000 users, we're default alive, growing 97% through word of mouth, and we are in the top 0.01% most popular repos on GitHub.

I think a lot of SEO advice for startups sucks, so I wrote my own. Here's the high-level summary: 1. Start with defensive SEO –?By this I mean product comparisons, integration guides. Basically, anything you don't want other people ranking for. 2. Use as few SEO tools as possible – An easy way to fail is to spend too much time learning SEO tools, and not enough doing the important bit: the content. 3. Low volume + a problem you solve = winning – It’s way easier to rank for 100 low volume searches than a handful of lucrative, popular ones. 4. Google is dumber than you think – To paraphrase Barry Adams ??, it's mostly about links and clicks. If people visiting your website have a great experience, ranking will be easier. 5. Solve your user’s real problems – You can stumble upon small SEO wins by creating content that helps solve the real problems of your actual users. 6. You don’t need perfect Core Web Vitals – Seriously folks, stop trying to achieve perfect scores on your PageSpeed report. John Mueller and others have said so numerous times. 7. Your “great content” probably sucks – "Our content is great but it doesn’t rank” is the #1 complaint of anyone struggling with SEO, but it’s true less than 10% of the time. 8. Double down when you have product-market fit – imho, you shouldn't over focus on SEO until you have PMF. It'll work faster than you think if you have a product that works and an audience who love it already. 9. Yes, your startup still needs SEO – In Nov 2024, ChatGPT was visited 3.8 billion times. Google was visited 82.19 billion times. One of those numbers is bigger than the other. 10. SEO is mostly about good habits – Successful SEO strategies are built on being relentless and disciplined. There are no shortcuts. Read the full post here: https://lnkd.in/eMhbGbJT

TIME is what blocks people from building new software. That's why hackathons like the one this weekend with ElevenLabs work: calendars are blocked off, people have given themselves permission to learn, play, make and ship. (For PostHog, that's called a Tuesday. And Thursday.) But we're here for it: time and space to really MAKE.

continuing our quest to make every single part of software sales transparent part 63 - we'll now give you up to 6 months free of sweet sweet PostHog goodness if you want to switch but are locked into a contract with someone else part 64 will probably be something weird like sales reps are forced to tell you how much of quota they are on track to hit, i dunno
