And the three-month journey of building the next set of smart farmers through intensive, practical-based learning via the RAFI 4.0 commenced today! With a very engaging session with two of our facilitators – Babatunde of FutuX Agri-consult Limited, Oyewole Okewole of Oakwall Agro-Industrial Consult and Services and Mayowa Lawrence Ekundayo of PostAgvest Solutions Ltd, the participants were off to a very great start. She is building a track record of growth in agribusiness, leadership, and impact on smallholder farmers. She is the founder of FARMATAGO, an agribusiness company, a Business Development Provider Associate (BDSP), a consultant for FarmSetup and agribusiness development. In 2023, she was recognized as a youth AgriChampion by Ban Ki Moon Global Citizen , an award finalist for the African women in agribusiness, and a grant award winner with Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition. RAFI 4.0: MEET OUR FACILITATOR SERIES Babatunde is an agricultural extension expert that advocates for agricultural sustainability, with knowledge of rural sociology and a strong expertise in developing agricultural extension service delivery. With over a decade of experience in practical agriculture (such as post-harvest loss management, value-chain management, agriculture financing, training, project planning and management, consulting and community-based agriculture), rural sociology and development, food safety, qualitative and quantitative research,?agribusiness and alternative livelihood development, Babatunde has provided valuable insights for various national and international agricultural projects in developing countries. His consultancy work for international organizations such as the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organisation, World Food Program (WFP), Verian Group, Heifer International, Technoserve and CBI projects focused on food security, poverty alleviation, gender assessment and inclusiveness, food and environmental safety, and capacity building of agricultural value chain actors. He has a special interest in the entire value chain of a wide range of agricultural commodities. He has successfully executed over 200 small-scale agricultural processing projects/businesses for micro, small, and medium-scale agricultural enterprises in about 20 states in Nigeria.
